Who is the person who “leaked” the Pfizer New Crown study?

A video of Jordan Tristan Walker, Pfizer’s director of strategic operations and mRNA science planning and development, discussing the new coronavirus mutation has recently become a hot topic on social media.

The video, which was reportedly filmed in secret by a conservative group called the Truth Project, shows Walker discussing Pfizer’s so-called neo-coronavirus mutation program, which is designed to create new future vaccines and promote the “directed evolution” of the virus. When the video was released, it sparked an outcry online. Questions were raised about the identity of the “leaked” Jordan Tristan Walker, and who he really was.

The video caused an uproar

Mutant virus will become a cash cow

One of the things we’re exploring is why we don’t change it [the virus] ourselves so we can preemptively develop new vaccines,” Walker said in the video. But if we were to do that, there would be a risk, as you can imagine, that no one would want a pharmaceutical company mutating the damn virus.”

The mutation of the new coronavirus would be accomplished through a process called directed evolution, making the virus stronger or weaker, depending on how scientists experiment with it, according to Walker. He said Pfizer scientists are working to figure out how new strains and variants emerge so they can “catch them before they emerge and we can develop a preventive vaccine.”

When asked when the virus will achieve “directed evolution,” Walker responded, “I don’t know, it depends on how the experiment turns out.” According to him, the experiment is ongoing.

According to Walker, the experiment works by injecting the virus into monkeys, then infecting them with each other in turn, and collecting a series of samples from them.

However, when asked if Pfizer’s so-called virus mutation experiments could be considered “Gain-of-function” research, Walker denied it. Gain-of-function refers to the genetic alteration of a virus to enhance properties such as its ability to spread or host range in order to create a new vaccine or biological weapon.

In the video, Walker denies that the so-called mutation experiments are the same as the functional acquisition research. “I think it’s different. It’s definitely not functional acquisition.” He said, “We shouldn’t be experimenting with function acquisition on viruses.”

He further added that research on mutation of the virus is ongoing and expressed hope that there will be no new outbreaks of the virus.

In addition Walker said, “Either way, mutated viruses are going to be a cash cow. For some time to come, the new coronavirus (COVID) is going to be our cash cow.”

Pfizer Response.

No gain-of-function or directed evolution studies

Modified the virus to assess antiviral activity in cells

The video sparked an outcry on overseas social media platforms as soon as it was released. At 8 p.m. local time on Jan. 27, Pfizer responded to the matter in a statement posted on its website.

The statement reads that Pfizer did not conduct functional acquisition or directed evolution studies in the development of the new crown vaccine conducted by Pfizer- Biontech. However, as mentioned below, during the development of the oral PAXLOVID, in order to comply with regulatory requirements, Pfizer conducted in vitro tests to identify potential resistance mutations to nirmatrelvir, one of the two components of PAXLOVID.

Pfizer says it is important to regularly assess the activity of antiviral drugs, and most of the work is done through computer simulations or mutations in the master protease (the non-infectious part of the virus), but “in limited circumstances, when an intact virus does not contain any known functionally acquired mutations, this virus can be modified to enable it to assess antiviral activity in cells “.

In addition, “in vitro resistance selection assays were performed in cells incubated with neo-coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and nirmatrelvir in our secure Biosafety Level 3 (BSL3) laboratory to assess whether major proteases mutate to produce viral resistant strains”. Finally, Pfizer emphasized that “it is worth noting that these studies are required by U.S. and global regulatory agencies for all antiviral products and have been conducted by many companies and academic institutions in the U.S. and around the world.”

Lied only to impress his date

In addition, it is worth noting that Pfizer did not mention the identity of the executive in the video in its statement, and did not deny that Jordan Triston Walker worked at Pfizer or that he was a supervisor.

Jordan Triston Walker is reportedly the director of research and development for strategic operations and mRNA science planning at Pfizer. However, Walker does not have any public social media accounts, and the only Linklaters profile associated with Walker was deleted after the story festered.

Subsequently, James O’Keefe, founder of The Truth Project, posted some information on social media. According to O’Keefe, The Truth Project obtained internal documents from Pfizer confirming that Jordan Tristan Walker was Pfizer’s director of R&D strategic operations. According to Pfizer’s organizational chart, Walker is three levels below its CEO and chairman, Albert Burra, who has served as director of global R&D strategic operations and mRNA scientific planning from 2021 to the present.

The documents also show that Walker attended Yale University as an undergraduate in molecular, cellular and developmental biology and worked for pharmaceutical clinical trial business company Icahn Weil (IQVIA) after graduating in 2013. He then earned his MD in urology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and served as a urology resident at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2018 to 2019. he worked as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group from 2019 to 2021, focusing on biopharmaceutical growth strategies.

On January 27, The Truth Project released a second video in which Walker appeared to be horrified when James O’Keefe informed him of the secret video. Walker then immediately responded that he was only lying about the virus research to impress his date. He then broke the iPad on which O’Keefe was playing the video and called the NYPD.
