How about the epidemic prevention services and medical treatment in Sanya? The reporter interviewed and learned that the tourism, medical and health departments and cultural and tourism enterprises in Sanya actively responded to the tourism market in a safe and orderly manner.

The reporter saw in Sanya People’s Hospital during the Spring Festival holiday that not many patients and accompanying family members came to the hospital’s fever clinic, emergency room and other departments.

On Jan. 27, the number of patients attending the emergency department of Sanya People’s Hospital was very small.

The medical and health department of Sanya City previously judged that the large number of tourists coming to Sanya during the Spring Festival may cause a run on medical resources. In order to effectively meet the needs of tourists, Sanya People’s Hospital opened 1,000 beds, including 80 intensive care beds, and 60 new transitional ward intensive care beds for emergencies; the hospital broke down departmental barriers to achieve the hospital beds can be admitted to treat patients with the new coronavirus infection; other departments doctors after rigorous training to support the respiratory and emergency departments; a vice president led by a daily count of beds in each department A vice president leads a team to each department to count beds and to the emergency department to coordinate patient admissions.

This reporter learned from the Sanya Health and Wellness Committee that the total number of emergency outpatient visits to medical institutions in Sanya during the Spring Festival was 26,500, of which more than 6,000 were tourists, accounting for 24%. The number of fever outpatient clinics, in-patient intensive care patients and in-patient positive rates in the city have all decreased to different degrees compared to before the Spring Festival.

Fang Yulai, party secretary and director of the Sanya Health and Wellness Committee, introduced that in order to ensure timely and effective treatment of patients during the Spring Festival, the Health and Wellness Committee requested major hospitals and all primary medical institutions to maintain normal operation before the Spring Festival, while setting up 150 fever clinics on a grid basis to facilitate patients to seek medical treatment nearby; 45 drivers were deployed from Sanya City Bus Group as emergency drivers for 120 emergency vehicles to strengthen the dispatch of emergency vehicles.
