Two new local confirmed cases and 21 new local asymptomatic infections in Shanghai yesterday

From 0-24 hours on October 7, there were 2 new local confirmed cases of New Crown pneumonia and 21 asymptomatic infections in Shanghai, of which 2 confirmed cases and 18 asymptomatic infections were found in isolation control. One new confirmed case of imported NCCP and 11 asymptomatic cases were found in closed-loop control.

Status of local cases

From 00-24 hours on October 7, 2022, there were 2 new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia.

Case 1 and Case 2, residing in Minhang District, were both close contacts of previously reported infected persons from other provinces returning to Shanghai in the city. The nucleic acid test results of the new crown virus were abnormal during the isolation and control period, and the results were reviewed by the CDC as positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose the case as a confirmed case.

Status of local asymptomatic infected persons

After municipal expert consultation, comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings, etc., the diagnosis was made as an asymptomatic infected person. Asymptomatic infected person 4 and asymptomatic infected person 5, who live in Changning District, are close contacts of asymptomatic infected person 2. The nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus were abnormal during the isolation control period, and the results were reviewed by the CDC as positive. Asymptomatic infected person 6, temporarily living in Xuhui District, and asymptomatic infected person 7, temporarily living in Jing’an District, were both returning to Shanghai from other provinces and had abnormal nucleic acid test results for the new coronavirus during the closed-loop control period. The nucleic acid test results were reviewed by the city and district CDC and were positive. Asymptomatic infected person 8 and asymptomatic infected person 9, residing in Baoshan District, were both returning to Shanghai from other provinces, and were implemented for isolation and control after receiving notification from foreign provinces and cities, during which the nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus were abnormal. By the city and district CDC review, the nucleic acid test results were positive. After municipal expert consultation, comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings, etc., diagnosed as asymptomatic infected persons.

Asymptomatic infected patients10, temporarily residing in Pudong New Area, asymptomatic infected patients11, residing in Pudong New Area, asymptomatic infected patients12, asymptomatic infected patients13, temporarily residing in Changning District, asymptomatic infected patients14, asymptomatic infected patients15, residing in Yangpu District, asymptomatic infected patients16, residing in Minhang District, asymptomatic infected patients17, residing in Songjiang District, asymptomatic infected patients18, residing in Fengxian District, all of whom were close contacts of previously reported infected persons from other provinces returning to Shanghai. Asymptomatic infected person 19, residing in Changning District, was a close contact during the home health surveillance of imported asymptomatic infected persons from abroad reported by the city on October 5. Asymptomatic infected person 20 and asymptomatic infected person 21, residing in Pudong New Area, were found to be abnormal in routine nucleic acid testing of closed-loop management key personnel. The situation of imported cases from abroad

On October 7, 2022, from 0-24 hours, one confirmed case of overseas imported neocrown pneumonia was reported through the joint prevention and control mechanism at the port. Fourteen cases were cured and discharged, including three cases from the United States, three cases from Germany, two cases from France, one case from Singapore, one case from the United Kingdom, one case from Malaysia, one case from Ireland, one case from Canada, and one case from Taiwan.

The case was of Chinese nationality, working in Germany, departed from Germany and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 5, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which symptoms developed. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of a confirmed case.

The overseas imported confirmed cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 17 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

Asymptomatic infected person 1 is of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in Hong Kong, departed from Hong Kong and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 27, 2022, and was placed under centralized isolation and observation after entering customs, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 2 was of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in the United States, departed from the United States and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 3, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic infected patients3 were of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in Switzerland, departed from Switzerland, transferred through France, and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 4, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected patients4 were of Chinese nationality, working in Spain, departed from Spain and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 4, 2022, and were placed under intensive quarantine observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic infected patients5 were of German nationality, visiting relatives in Germany, departed from Germany and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 4, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic infected patients6 were of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in the Netherlands, departed from the Netherlands and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 4, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. Asymptomatic infected person 7 and asymptomatic infected person 8 are both Chinese nationals, asymptomatic infected person 7 studied in the United States and asymptomatic infected person 8 visited relatives in the United States. Asymptomatic infected person 7 and asymptomatic infected person 8 departed from the United States, took the same flight, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 5, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. Asymptomatic infected patients10 were residents of Taiwan, living in Taiwan, departing from Taiwan and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 6, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

The asymptomatic infected patient11 was of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in France, departed from France, transferred via Germany, and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 6, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Eleven cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for medical observation, and 178 close contacts of the same flight have been tracked, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

On October 7, 2022, from 0 to 24 hours, 9 cases of foreign imported asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation.

From 0:00 on July 3, 2022 to 24:00 on October 7, 2022, a total of 176 cases were confirmed locally, 195 cases were cured and discharged, 5 cases were treated in hospital, and 0 cases died; 829 cases of asymptomatic infections were reported. There are 0 suspected cases to be ranked.
