October 9, 0-24 hours, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 434 new cases of confirmed cases. Among them, 61 cases were imported from abroad (27 cases in Guangdong, 15 cases in Fujian, 5 cases in Beijing, 4 cases in Inner Mongolia, 4 cases in Sichuan, 3 cases in Jiangsu, 1 case in Tianjin, 1 case in Zhejiang, 1 case in Shandong), including 9 cases from asymptomatic infected people to confirmed cases (3 cases in Fujian, 2 cases in Beijing, 2 cases in Guangdong, 1 case in Zhejiang, 1 case in Sichuan); 373 local cases (119 cases in Inner Mongolia, 70 cases in Xinjiang, 31 cases in Guangdong 31 cases, Yunnan 28 cases, Shanxi 25 cases, Sichuan 18 cases, Beijing 13 cases, Henan 11 cases, Chongqing 10 cases, Shaanxi 9 cases, Zhejiang 7 cases, Fujian 5 cases, Tibet 5 cases, Liaoning 4 cases, Hunan 4 cases, Ningxia 4 cases, Shanghai 3 cases, Hainan 3 cases, Shandong 2 cases, Heilongjiang 1 case, Jiangsu 1 case), including 61 cases transferred from asymptomatic to confirmed cases (Inner Mongolia 26 cases, Sichuan 9 cases, Zhejiang 5 cases, Xinjiang 5 cases). Zhejiang 5 cases, Xinjiang 5 cases, Guangdong 4 cases, Beijing 2 cases, Fujian 2 cases, Henan 2 cases, Chongqing 2 cases, Yunnan 2 cases, Shanxi 1 case, Ningxia 1 case). No new death cases. 166 new cases were cured and discharged, including 56 imported cases and 110 local cases (30 cases in Sichuan, 16 cases in Guangdong, 15 cases in Guizhou, 13 cases in Inner Mongolia, 10 cases in Ningxia, 6 cases in Heilongjiang, 5 cases in Yunnan, 3 cases in Shaanxi, 2 cases in Tianjin, 2 cases in Liaoning, 2 cases in Chongqing, 1 case in Shanxi, 1 case in Jiangsu, 1 case in Fujian, 1 case in Shandong, 1 case in Henan, 1 case in Hainan). The number of close contacts released from medical observation was 38,528, and the number of serious cases decreased by 1 case compared with the previous day.

There are 646 confirmed cases imported from abroad (no serious cases) and 1 suspected case. The total number of confirmed cases is 24,661, and the total number of cured and discharged cases is 24,015, with no fatal cases.

As of 24:00 on October 9, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 3886 confirmed cases (including 12 serious cases), 244,463 cumulative cured and discharged cases, 5,226 cumulative fatal cases, 253,575 cumulative reported confirmed cases, and 1 existing suspected case. A total of 6,361,282 close contacts have been traced, and 29,037 close contacts are still under medical observation.

561 cases of asymptomatic infected persons were released from medical observation on the same day, of which 69 cases were imported from abroad and 492 cases were local (178 cases in Ningxia, 122 cases in Heilongjiang, 32 cases in Xinjiang, 31 cases in Guizhou, 24 cases in Sichuan, 18 cases in Tibet, 12 cases in Tianjin, 11 cases in Shaanxi, 8 cases in Shandong, 8 cases in Guangxi, 8 cases in Gansu, 6 cases in Hebei, 6 cases in Jiangsu, 5 cases in Hubei, 5 cases in Yunnan, 4 cases in Liaoning (3 cases in Inner Mongolia, 2 cases in Shanxi, 2 cases in Anhui, 2 cases in Guangdong, 1 case in Jiangxi, 1 case in Henan, 1 case in Hainan, 1 case in Chongqing, 1 case in Qinghai); 70 cases were turned into confirmed cases on the same day (9 cases imported from abroad); 12,084 cases of asymptomatic infected persons are still under medical observation (878 cases imported from abroad).

The total number of confirmed cases received from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan is 7,291,952 cases. Among them, 419621 cases in Hong Kong SAR (86762 discharges, 10218 deaths), 793 cases in Macao SAR (787 discharges, 6 deaths), 6871538 cases in Taiwan (13742 discharges, 11527 deaths).
