Guangdong Health Commission informed that from 0-24 hours on October 12, there were 30 new confirmed local cases in the province (6 in Guangzhou, 19 in Shenzhen, 1 in Shaoguan, 1 in Zhongshan, 2 in Zhaoqing and 1 in Qingyuan); 17 new local asymptomatic infections (7 in Guangzhou, 7 in Shenzhen, 1 in Huizhou and 2 in Dongguan); and 6 local asymptomatic infections to confirmed cases (4 in Guangzhou and 2 in Zhuhai). There were 14 new confirmed cases imported from abroad (4 cases in Guangzhou, 10 cases in Shenzhen); 16 new asymptomatic cases imported from abroad (5 cases in Guangzhou, 5 cases in Shenzhen, 1 case in Zhuhai, 1 case in Foshan, 4 cases in Dongguan); 3 other cases of asymptomatic cases imported from abroad to confirmed cases (1 case in Guangzhou, 1 case in Shenzhen, 1 case in Foshan).
There were 43 new cases discharged from the province (23 cases imported from abroad) and 592 cases are currently in the hospital (187 cases imported from abroad); 36 new cases of asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation (17 cases imported from abroad) and 352 cases of asymptomatic infections are still under medical observation (150 cases imported from abroad).
As of 24:00 on October 12, the province reported a total of 21,367 positive cases of new pneumonia (13,321 cases imported from abroad), including 10,691 confirmed cases (5,577 cases imported from abroad) and 10,676 asymptomatic cases (7,744 cases imported from abroad).
