The Taiwan Regional Epidemic Command Center announced on the 12th that there were 52,405 new confirmed cases of Newcastle pneumonia, including 52,338 local cases and 67 imported cases from abroad, and 37 new deaths among the confirmed cases.
The new local cases ranged in age from under 5 years old to over 90 years old. The new deaths were 25 males and 12 females, ranging in age from under 5 years old to over 90 years old, of which 25 cases did not receive more than 3 doses of the new crown vaccine. There were 102 new cases of moderate to severe illness on the same day.
Statistics show that, up to now, the cumulative number of confirmed cases of Newcastle pneumonia in Taiwan is 6,997,376 cases, including 6,961,755 local cases. (End)
