From 0 to 24:00 on October 16, there were 13 new confirmed local cases in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, including 2 cases in Tianshan District, 2 cases in Shaibak District, 1 case in Gaoxin District, 3 cases in Shuimangu District, 2 cases in Middong District in Urumqi City, and 3 cases in Yining City in Ili Prefecture.
There were 175 new cases of local asymptomatic infections, including 29 cases in Tianshan District, 25 cases in Shaibak District, 16 cases in Gaoxin District, 18 cases in Shuimangu District, 9 cases in Jingkai District and 13 cases in Middong District of Urumqi, 24 cases in Yining City and 3 cases in Yining County of Ili Prefecture, 8 cases in Usu City of Tacheng District, 3 cases in Izhou District of Hami City (imported from other provinces), 12 cases in Gaocang District of Turpan City and 15 cases in Korla City of Bazhou.
From 0:00 to 24:00 on October 16, 27 new local confirmed cases were cured and discharged from the hospital in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region; 1 new overseas imported confirmed case was cured and discharged from the hospital; 65 new local asymptomatic infected persons were released from isolation for medical observation.
As of 24:00 on October 16, there were 374 local confirmed cases in the XUAR; 3,349 local asymptomatic cases; and 1 overseas imported asymptomatic case.
