Henan has 8 new confirmed indigenous cases and 8 indigenous asymptomatic infections on Oct. 16

Henan Health Commission informed that from 0 to 24 hours on October 16, there were 8 new local confirmed cases in the province (3 cases in Zhengzhou, 2 cases in Jiyuan, 1 case in Puyang, all found in isolation control), including 2 cases of asymptomatic infections to confirmed cases (2 cases in Puyang). There were 8 new cases of local asymptomatic infections (3 cases in Zhengzhou City, 2 of which were found by screening of key populations and 1 by isolation control; 2 cases in Luoyang City, both of which were found by isolation control; 2 cases in Jiaozuo City, both of which were found by screening of key populations; and 1 case in Puyang City). There were 3 new cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infections and no new overseas imported confirmed cases. 3 local confirmed cases were cured and discharged from hospital (2 in Puyang and 1 in Xinyang). 11 asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation, including 6 local cases (2 in Xinyang, 2 in Nanyang, 1 in Zhengzhou and 1 in Luoyang) and 5 overseas imported cases.
As of 24:00 on October 16, 2022, there were 96 hospitalized cases in the province (95 local cases and 1 imported case), and 361 asymptomatic infected persons were still under medical observation (326 local cases and 35 imported cases).
