10 new cases of indigenous asymptomatic infections in Shanghai on October 19, all found in isolation control
On October 19, 2022 from 00-24 hours, there were no new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia and 10 new indigenous asymptomatic infections, all of which were found in isolation control. There were 2 new confirmed cases of imported extranational New Crown pneumonia and 18 new asymptomatic infections, all of which were found in closed-loop control.

There were no new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia from 00-24 hours on October 19, 2022. One case was cured and discharged from the hospital.

All are close contacts of previously reported local infected persons from other provinces returning to Shanghai. Asymptomatic infected person 9 and asymptomatic infected person 10, residing in Songjiang District, were found to be abnormal during routine nucleic acid testing of closed-loop management key personnel. The situation of imported cases from abroad
On October 19, 2022, from 0-24 hours, two confirmed cases of overseas imported neocrown pneumonia were reported through the joint prevention and control mechanism at the port. Four cases were cured and discharged, including two cases from Korea, one case from Canada and one case from France.
Case 1 was a Chinese national who studied in Australia, departed from Australia, transferred via New Zealand, and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 16, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which he developed symptoms. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.
Case 2 was a Chinese national working in the United Kingdom, who arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 17, 2022 from the United Kingdom with a connecting flight via Finland, and was placed under intensive quarantine upon entry for observation, during which he developed symptoms. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as confirmed cases.
Two cases of overseas imported confirmed cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 62 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

Eighteen cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for medical observation, and 230 close contacts of the same flight have been tracked, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.
