Two new local confirmed cases and 13 local asymptomatic infections in Shanghai yesterday

The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission informed this morning (November 14) that from 0-24 hours on November 13, 2022, there were 2 new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia and 13 asymptomatic infections, of which 1 confirmed case and 13 asymptomatic infections were found in isolation control. Three new confirmed cases of imported NCCP from abroad and nine asymptomatic infections were added.

From 00-24 hours on November 13, 2022, there were 2 new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia. One case was cured and discharged from the hospital.

Case 1, temporarily residing in Jing’an District, was a recent foreigner to Shanghai who was found to be abnormal in the standing nucleic acid test, which was reviewed by the city and district CDC and the nucleic acid test result was positive. After municipal expert consultation, comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings, etc., the case was diagnosed as confirmed. Case 2, residing in Pudong New Area, is a close contact of a local asymptomatic infected person reported in Shanghai on November 11. The nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal during isolation control and was reviewed by the CDC with a positive result. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of a confirmed case.

From 0-24 hours on November 13, 2022, there were 13 new cases of indigenous asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 1, residing in Pudong New Area, was a close contact of a previously reported local infected person from a foreign province returning to Shanghai in Shanghai. The nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal during the isolation and control period, and the result was reviewed by the CDC as positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infected person.

Asymptomatic infected person 2, residing in Songjiang District, asymptomatic infected person 3, temporarily residing in Qingpu District, asymptomatic infected person 4 and asymptomatic infected person 5, residing in Fengxian District, were all returned to Shanghai from other provinces and were put under control after arriving in Shanghai, during which the nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus were abnormal and the results were reviewed by the CDC as positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings, etc., were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 6, residing in Pudong New Area, asymptomatic infected person 7, residing in Jing’an District, asymptomatic infected person 8, residing in Putuo District, asymptomatic infected person 9, residing in Jiading District, asymptomatic infected person 10, residing in Songjiang District, are all close contacts of local asymptomatic infected persons reported by the city on November 11. The nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus were abnormal during the isolation and control period, and the results were reviewed by the CDC as positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of an asymptomatic infected person.

Asymptomatic infected person 11, residing in Jing’an District, was a close contact of a native asymptomatic infected person reported in Shanghai on November 6. The nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal during the isolation control period, and the result was reviewed by the CDC as positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as an asymptomatic infected person.

Asymptomatic infected person 12 and asymptomatic infected person 13, residing in Jiading District, were both close contacts of the imported confirmed cases from abroad reported in Shanghai on November 12. The nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus were abnormal during the isolation and control period, and the results were reviewed by the CDC as positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

On November 13, 2022, from 0-24 hours, three confirmed cases of overseas imported neocrown pneumonia were reported through the joint prevention and control mechanism at the port. Two cases were cured and discharged, including one case from Switzerland and one case from Singapore.

Case 1 was of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in the United States, departed from the United States and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 10, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which symptoms developed. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 2 was a Chinese national, visiting relatives in Singapore, departing from Singapore and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 11, 2022, and was placed under intensive isolation for observation upon entry, during which she developed symptoms. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 3 was a Chinese national, visiting relatives in the United Kingdom, departing from the United Kingdom and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 12, 2022, and was placed under intensive isolation for observation upon entry, during which she developed symptoms. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of confirmed cases.

Three cases of overseas imported confirmed cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 111 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

From 0-24 hours on November 13, 2022, there were 9 new cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad.

Asymptomatic infected person 1 is a Chinese national, visiting relatives in the United States, departed from the United States and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 8, 2022, and was placed under centralized isolation for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 2 was a Danish national, traveling in Denmark, departing from Denmark and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 9, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 3 was an Australian national working in Singapore, departed from Singapore and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 9, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected patients4 were of Chinese nationality, traveling in the Netherlands, departing from the Netherlands, transiting through Hong Kong and Japan, arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 10, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 5-Asymptomatic infected person 7 were all of Chinese nationality, Asymptomatic infected person 5 and Asymptomatic infected person 6 worked in France and departed from France, Asymptomatic infected person 7 worked in Madagascar and departed from Madagascar and transferred via Mauritius and France, Asymptomatic infected person 5-Asymptomatic infected person 7 took the same flight and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 11, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for New Coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected patients8 were of Chinese nationality, working in Singapore, departed from Singapore and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 11, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person9 was a Canadian national, visiting relatives in Canada, departed from Canada and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 12, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Nine cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for medical observation, and 232 close contacts of the same flight have been tracked, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

From 0-24 hours on November 13, 2022, 41 cases of asymptomatic infected persons were released from medical observation, including 7 cases of local asymptomatic infected persons and 34 cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons.

From 0:00 on July 3, 2022 to 24:00 on November 13, 2022, a total of 212 cases were confirmed locally, 231 cases were cured and discharged, 5 cases were treated in hospital, and 0 cases died; there were 1367 asymptomatic infections. There are 0 suspected cases to be ranked.

As of 24:00 on November 13, 2022, there were 5,594 cumulative overseas imported confirmed cases, 5,561 cases discharged and 33 cases under hospital treatment. There are 0 suspected cases to be investigated.
