It turned out that the main water pipe of the washroom area on the south side of Fangcai Hospital had failed due to the sudden increase of water pressure and equipment upgrade, and more than 1,000 patients were facing the plight of no water, and the sewage and dirt could not be discharged in time, so the situation was very critical. “Tell everyone to put down their work and gather immediately!” Xu Benying, a member of the maintenance team who was on night duty, called the first time after hearing the news to deploy personnel and took the lead in rushing to the danger area.

“The water pressure of the main water pipe is extremely high, and the edges of some components are also relatively sharp. This is not normally a problem, but in the contaminated area special attention should be paid to prevent protective masks and suits from being punctured during the operation to avoid exposing the team members to danger.” said Zhang Jianyin, a member of the maintenance team. Under the airtight protective clothing, although the team members have been sweating, but the maintenance process is still carried out in an orderly manner. After five hours of battle, the maintenance team finally completed the task at 7 a.m., ensuring the peak water demand of the patients in the square cabin.

According to the report, less than a week after being stationed in the hospital, this maintenance team, which participated in the fight against the epidemic in Guangzhou against the traffic, has handled more than 400 times of water, electricity and item maintenance failures in the nurses’ station, doctors’ buffer zone, outdoor contaminated area and isolation area inside the cabin.
