China donates 1 million doses of animal vaccines to Cambodia

The handover ceremony was held in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, on Dec. 27.
On the morning of Dec. 27, China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs donated 1 million doses of animal vaccines to the Cambodian government, including 500,000 doses of foot-and-mouth disease vaccine for cattle and 500,000 doses of goat pox vaccine for the treatment of cattle nodular skin disease. This is the second donation since the Chinese government first donated 200,000 doses of animal vaccines to Cambodia at the end of 2019.
The handover ceremony was held in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh. Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Deng Dina said on the same day that he appreciated the Chinese government’s long-standing support for Cambodia-China agricultural cooperation. The 1 million doses of animal vaccines will greatly promote the development of Cambodia’s livestock industry and improve the quality of livestock products. The Cambodian government will devote itself to the export of high-quality Cambodian agricultural products to China and promote the efficient development of Cambodian-Chinese agricultural trade for the benefit of both peoples.
Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian said that in recent years, the cooperation between China and Cambodia in various major fields of Cambodian agriculture, such as crops, animal husbandry, fishery and rubber, has been in full swing and blossomed in many points. The donation of 1 million doses of animal vaccines will certainly play an important role in promoting the development of the Cambodian livestock industry.
