Two new local confirmed cases and two new local asymptomatic infections in Shanghai yesterday

On October 31, 2022 from 00-24 hours, there were 2 new confirmed cases of indigenous New Crown pneumonia and 2 asymptomatic infections, of which 1 confirmed case and 2 asymptomatic infections were found in isolation control. Three new confirmed cases of imported NCCP from abroad and 17 asymptomatic infected persons were added.

From 00-24 hours on October 31, 2022, there were 2 new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia. One case was cured and discharged from the hospital.

Case 1, residing in Pudong New Area, was found to be abnormal in the standing nucleic acid test, which was reviewed by the municipal and district CDCs, and the nucleic acid test result was positive. The case was diagnosed as a confirmed case after consultation with municipal experts and comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings. Case 2, residing in Pudong New Area, was a close contact of local case 1. The nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal during isolation control and was reviewed by the CDC with a positive result. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of a confirmed case.

Asymptomatic infected person 1, residing in Pudong New Area, was a close contact of a previously reported local infected person from a foreign province to Shanghai in Shanghai. The nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal during the isolation and control period, and the result was reviewed by the CDC as positive. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 2, residing in Pudong New Area, was a close contact of a local asymptomatic infected person reported in Shanghai on October 29. The nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal during the isolation control period, and the result was reviewed by the CDC as positive. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of an asymptomatic infected person.

On October 31, 2022, from 0-24 hours, three confirmed cases of overseas imported New Coronary Pneumonia were reported through the joint prevention and control mechanism at the port. Two cases were cured and discharged, including one case from Singapore and one case from Taiwan.

Case 1 was of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in Spain, departed from Spain and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 25, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which symptoms appeared. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 2 was a Chinese national, visiting relatives in the United States, departing from the United States and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 27, 2022, and was placed under intensive isolation for observation upon entry, during which she developed symptoms. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 3 was a Malaysian national, living in Malaysia, departed from Malaysia and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 28, 2022, and was placed under intensive isolation for observation upon entry, during which she developed symptoms. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as confirmed cases.

Three cases of confirmed cases imported from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 29 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

From 0-24 hours on October 31, 2022, there were 17 new cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 1 is a resident of Taiwan, China, visiting relatives in Taiwan, departed from Taiwan and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 20, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic infected person 2 was a Chinese national living in Canada, departed from Canada, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 24, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected patients3 were of Japanese nationality, living in Japan, departed from Japan, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 27, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected patients4 were of Chinese nationality, working in Brazil, departed from Brazil, transferred via Germany, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 27, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic infected person 10 and asymptomatic infected person 11 were both of Korean nationality, visiting relatives in Korea, departed from Korea, took the same flight, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 28, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

The asymptomatic infected person12 was of Chinese nationality, working in Canada, departed from Canada and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 28, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. The asymptomatic infected person17 was a US national, living in the US, departed from the US, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 30, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Seventeen cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons have been transferred to designated medical institutions for medical observation, and 203 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

From 0-24 hours on October 31, 2022, 28 cases of asymptomatic infected persons were released from medical observation, including 8 cases of local asymptomatic infected persons and 20 cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons.

From 0000 hours on July 3, 2022 to 2400 hours on October 31, 2022, a total of 206 cases were confirmed locally, 222 cases were cured and discharged, 8 cases were treated in hospital, and 0 cases died; 1301 cases of asymptomatic infections were reported. There are 0 suspected cases to be ranked.
