From 0 to 24 hours on November 8, there were 197 new local confirmed cases in the province (91 in Guangzhou, 1 in Shenzhen, 41 in Shantou, 2 in Dongguan, 1 in Jiangmen, 1 in Yangjiang, 2 in Zhanjiang, 37 in Maoming, 1 in Zhaoqing, 20 in Qingyuan); 2,611 new local asymptomatic cases (2,546 in Guangzhou, 2 in Shenzhen, 12 in Shantou, 5 in Foshan, 1 in Shaoguan, 5 in Meizhou In addition, there were 10 cases in Dongguan, 18 cases in Maoming, 1 case in Zhaoqing, 4 cases in Qingyuan, 1 case in Chaozhou, and 6 cases in Jieyang); 395 cases of local asymptomatic cases were confirmed (387 cases in Guangzhou, 3 cases in Shantou, 2 cases in Foshan, 1 case in Zhanjiang, and 2 cases in Maoming). There were 14 new confirmed cases imported from abroad (4 in Guangzhou, 8 in Shenzhen, 1 in Zhuhai and 1 in Foshan); 24 new cases of asymptomatic infected persons imported from abroad (16 in Guangzhou, 2 in Shenzhen, 5 in Dongguan and 1 in Zhongshan); and 2 cases of asymptomatic infected persons imported from abroad to confirmed cases (1 in Guangzhou and 1 in Zhuhai).

There were 63 new cases discharged from the province (8 cases imported from abroad), and 2724 cases are currently in the hospital (139 cases imported from abroad); 149 new cases of asymptomatic infected persons were released from medical observation (31 cases imported from abroad), and 10,401 cases of asymptomatic infected persons are still under medical observation (218 cases imported from abroad).

As of 24:00 on November 8, the province reported a total of 36,776 positive cases of new coronary pneumonia (14,291 cases imported from abroad), including 14,265 confirmed cases (5,939 cases imported from abroad) and 22,511 asymptomatic cases (8,352 cases imported from abroad).
