Update on the new coronavirus pneumonia outbreak in Henan Province as of 24:00 on November 8, 2022

From 0 to 24 hours on November 8, there were 159 new confirmed local cases in the province (159 cases in Zhengzhou, of which 95 cases were found in isolation and control, 42 cases were found in screening of key populations, 13 cases were found in community screening, and 9 cases were found in active consultation). There were 888 new local asymptomatic infections (884 cases in Zhengzhou, of which 757 cases were found in isolation and control, 67 cases were found in screening of key populations, 46 cases were found in community screening, and 14 cases were found in active consultation; 2 cases in Luoyang, of which 1 case was found in isolation and control and 1 case was found in community screening; 1 case each in Hebi and Xuchang, both of which were found in isolation and control). There were 2 new cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad and no new confirmed cases imported from abroad. 1 local confirmed case was cured and discharged (1 case in Zhengzhou). 6 cases of asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation, including 2 local cases (1 case each in Anyang and Puyang) and 4 cases imported from abroad.
As of 24:00 on November 8, 2022, there were 558 hospitalized cases in the province (557 local cases and 1 imported case), and 3171 asymptomatic infected persons were still under medical observation (3152 local cases and 19 imported cases).
