Beijing added 1163 local confirmed cases, 3503 local asymptomatic cases, 2 overseas imported confirmed cases and 2 overseas imported asymptomatic cases on December 5, and 487 cases were discharged from the hospital after treatment

From 00:00 to 24:00 on December 5, there were 1,163 new confirmed cases and 3,503 asymptomatic cases (including 29 cases of asymptomatic to confirmed cases, of which 2,260 cases were notified), no new suspected cases, 4,223 cases of isolated observation and 414 cases of social screening; 2 new confirmed cases and 2 asymptomatic cases were imported from abroad, and no new suspected cases. There were 487 cases discharged from hospital and 2015 cases of asymptomatic infected persons released from medical observation.

Confirmed case 1: Chinese national, arrived at Beijing Capital Airport from Kazakhstan on November 29, sent to centralized isolation hotel through closed-loop management, diagnosed as confirmed case on December 5.

Confirmed case 2: Chinese national, arrived at Beijing Capital Airport from South Korea on December 3, sent to the centralized isolation hotel under closed-loop management, and diagnosed as confirmed case on December 5.

All the above cases have been transferred to designated hospitals, epidemiological investigations have been conducted and control measures have been implemented as required.
