Beijing added 1,185 local confirmed cases yesterday

From 00:00 to 24:00 on December 8, there were 1,185 new confirmed cases and 1,488 asymptomatic infections (including 19 cases of asymptomatic infections to confirmed cases), 1 new suspected case, 2,464 cases of isolation and observation, 191 cases of social screening; 7 new confirmed cases and 9 asymptomatic infections imported from abroad, and no new suspected cases. There were 397 cases discharged from hospital and 1524 cases of asymptomatic infected persons released from medical observation.

Confirmed case 1: Chinese national, arrived at Beijing Capital Airport from Russia on December 1, sent to a centralized isolation hotel via closed-loop management, diagnosed as a confirmed case on December 8.

Confirmed cases 2 and 4: Chinese nationals who arrived at Beijing Capital Airport from the UK on December 6 and were sent to the centralized isolation hotel under closed-loop management, and were diagnosed as confirmed cases on December 8.

Confirmed case 3: Chinese national, arrived at Beijing Capital Airport from Ethiopia on December 2, sent to the centralized isolation hotel under closed-loop management, and diagnosed as a confirmed case on December 8.

Confirmed case 5: Russian national, arrived at Beijing Capital Airport from Russia on December 1, sent to the centralized isolation hotel through closed-loop management, and diagnosed as a confirmed case on December 8.

Confirmed case 6: Chinese national, arrived at Beijing Capital Airport from France on December 1, sent to the centralized isolation hotel under closed-loop management, and diagnosed as a confirmed case on December 8.

Confirmed case 7: Korean national, arrived at Beijing Capital Airport from South Korea on December 3, sent to the centralized isolation hotel through closed-loop management, and diagnosed as confirmed case on December 8.

All the above cases have been transferred to designated hospitals, epidemiological investigations have been conducted and control measures have been implemented as required.
