Xiamen orderly implementation of the “inhalation” new crown vaccination service
“The new coronavirus vaccine can be administered without the need for a shot, between one breath and one inhalation.” From 28, Xiamen districts will carry out “inhalation” vaccination services for the new crown vaccine according to public demand. It is reported that the current inhalation vaccination service for New Crown vaccine is not available.
It is reported that the inhalation vaccine can be used for people aged 18 years and above, as well as the first and second doses of booster vaccination. The inhalation vaccine uses a nebulizer to nebulize the vaccine into aerosol particles, which can be inhaled through the mouth for vaccination, allowing the nebulized vaccine to reach the lungs through the respiratory tract; while generating humoral and cellular immunity, it is highly effective in stimulating mucosal immunity in the respiratory tract.
It is important to note that people who are allergic to the components of the vaccine, or who have previously been allergic to similar vaccines; people who have had severe allergic reactions to previous vaccines (such as acute allergic reactions, angioneurotic edema, respiratory difficulties, etc.); people with uncontrolled epilepsy and other progressive neurological diseases, and people with a history of Grinbarr’s syndrome are all contraindicated groups for this vaccination.
The Xiamen CDC calls on the public to actively and quickly complete the full course and booster immunization of the new crown vaccine for those who are eligible to receive it to protect their own and their family’s health. At the same time, personal protective measures such as wearing a mask, washing hands regularly, ventilating frequently and not gathering are also continued to be done.
Vaccination process:
Roughly the same as the intramuscular injection type, first the person must sign an informed consent form and a health assessment by a professional doctor; then the vaccination can begin.
After vaccination, you should observe the site for at least 30 minutes. Local adverse reactions, such as dry mouth, may occur after vaccination and generally do not require special treatment and can recover on their own. If the symptoms are more severe, you should seek medical attention and report to the doctor at the vaccination site.
ā—¸Vaccination posture:
o One exhalation, two inhalations and three breath-holding – the subject should exhale deeply first (not into the nebulizer cup).
o Holding the nozzle of the nebulizer cup in the mouth and inhaling deeply until there is no fog in the cup.
o Hold the breath for more than 5 seconds, then breathe normally and the inoculation is finished.
