No new local confirmed cases, 3 new local asymptomatic infections in Shanghai yesterday
On September 18, 2022, from 00-24 hours, there were no new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia and 3 new indigenous asymptomatic infections, of which 2 asymptomatic infections were found in isolation control. There were 11 new confirmed cases of imported new coronary pneumonia from abroad and 7 new asymptomatic infections, all of which were found in closed-loop control.
There were no new indigenous confirmed cases of New Coronary Pneumonia from 00-24 hours on September 18, 2022. One case was cured and discharged from the hospital.

Asymptomatic infected person 2, residing in Songjiang District, is a close contact of asymptomatic infected person 1, with abnormal results of nucleic acid test for New Coronavirus during isolation and control, and the result of review by CDC was positive.
Asymptomatic infected person 3, residing in Minhang District, was a close contact of the local confirmed case reported on September 13, and had an abnormal nucleic acid test result for New Coronavirus during isolation and control, and the result was reviewed by the CDC as positive.

Case 6 and Case 7 are both Chinese nationals, Case 6 works in the United States and Case 7 studied in the United States. Case 6 and Case 7 departed from the United States on the same flight and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 16, 2022, and were placed under intensive isolation for observation upon entry into the country. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.
Case 8 was a Chinese national, visiting relatives in Canada, who arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 16, 2022 from Canada and was placed under intensive quarantine upon entry for observation, during which he developed symptoms. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.
Case 9 was a Chinese national who worked in Singapore and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport from Singapore on September 16, 2022, and was placed under intensive quarantine for observation upon entry, during which she became symptomatic. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.
Case 10 was a Chinese national who studied in the UK and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport from the UK on September 17, 2022, and was placed under intensive quarantine for observation upon entry, during which she became symptomatic. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.
Case 11 was a Chinese national, visiting relatives in New Zealand, who arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport from New Zealand on September 17, 2022, and was placed under intensive quarantine for observation upon entry, during which he developed symptoms.
