With the decline in demand for nucleic acid testing following the adjustment of epidemic prevention and control measures, free nucleic acid sampling sites at the social level have been abolished in many places across the country.

According to the official website of the Shaoxing Municipal Government on December 31, 2022 news, in the past few days, Shaoxing City districts and counties (cities) have issued notices, clearly close or cancel the new coronavirus nucleic acid free collection points.

December 29, Shaoxing City, Yuexian District Prevention and Control Office issued a notice: in order to further implement the “non-essential not nucleic acid” requirements, from 30 onwards Yuexian District will close all new coronavirus nucleic acid free collection points. That is, in addition to retaining the 7 single tube fee nucleic acid collection points, the original more than 170 willing to test all the points and mixed tube positive special points all shut down.

In addition, since December 29, all free sampling points in Keqiao District of Shaoxing City have been closed, except for 16 towns and streets, each of which retains a fee-based nucleic acid collection point. In addition, the prevention and control offices in Shengzhou City and Xinchang County have also made it clear that in order to ensure that the limited nucleic acid testing resources are used to meet current medical treatment purposes as much as possible, all socially willing testing points have been cancelled since December 31. Shangyu District, Zhuji City from January 1, 2023 will close all new coronavirus nucleic acid free sampling points. Shaoxing City, some medical institutions have also been abolished single-tube fee nucleic acid sampling services.

This also means that the Yuecheng, Keqiao and Shangyu districts, Xinchang County, Zhuji and Shengzhou City under the jurisdiction of Shaoxing City have all closed or cancelled their free nucleic acid collection sites.

The city of Ningbo, which is adjacent to Shaoxing, also has Zhenhai District, Xiangshan County, and Cixi City announced that on January 1 or 3, 2023, all free nucleic acid collection sites under its jurisdiction will be closed and fee-based sampling sites will be retained.

In addition, according to Zhejiang Quzhou Jiangshan City, December 30, 2022, the adjustment of the city’s nucleic acid testing sampling site notice disclosure, Zhejiang Province, the Office of Prevention and Control issued the “Zhejiang Province, new coronavirus infection,” the overall work program “B B tube” requires that “nucleic acid sampling and testing for targeted medical purposes only. No longer carry out full nucleic acid testing and screening, no longer provide the social side of the regular nucleic acid sampling services, can retain a small number of fee-based nucleic acid sampling sites.”

In addition to the above-mentioned places in Zhejiang Province, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Wuhai City, Kunming City, Yunnan Province and other places have also announced that they no longer provide free nucleic acid testing services.
