According to the official WeChat news of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, the State Council Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism Integrated Group issued a notice on the optimization of measures for the movement of people between the Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao on the 5th. The relevant matters are notified as follows.

I. Remote detection

Entry from Hong Kong with a negative result of the nucleic acid test for new coronavirus infection 48 hours before the trip, the test results will be filled in the customs health declaration card.

Entering from Macao, if there is no history of residence in foreign countries or other foreign regions within 7 days, no need to enter with the pre-trip negative results of the nucleic acid test for new coronavirus infection.

Second, the entry quarantine

No longer implement full nucleic acid testing for people entering from Hong Kong. The health declaration is normal and no abnormalities in the customs port routine quarantine, can be released into the community. Health declaration of abnormal or fever and other symptoms of the personnel, by the Customs antigen test. If the result is positive, asymptomatic infected persons or light cases that are not combined with serious underlying diseases can be taken home, residence isolation or self-care, other cases advocated as soon as possible to medical institutions for treatment. If the result is negative, the Customs will implement routine quarantine in accordance with the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, including the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Health and Quarantine.

The quarantine measures for people entering from Macao remain unchanged.

Third, the mainland and Hong Kong and Macao passenger flights

Resume transit/transit services into the Mainland at Hong Kong and Macau international airports. Eliminate restrictions on the passenger capacity of flights to and from the Mainland in Hong Kong and Macau, and gradually increase the number of flights in an orderly manner. Simplify the airport inbound flight disposal process and improve airport operational efficiency. Strengthen flight receiving capacity in key cities. The airline companies continue to do a good job of in-flight prevention, passengers must wear masks when flying.

IV. Application for endorsement

Resume processing of travel and business visas for mainland residents to Hong Kong.

Gradually and orderly full restoration of the mainland and Hong Kong, Macao land port passenger and waterway passenger transport, for the entry and exit of people to provide fast customs clearance to facilitate.
