20 new local confirmed cases and 158 new local asymptomatic infections in Shanghai yesterday

On November 28, 2022 from 00-24 hours, 20 new confirmed cases of indigenous New Crown pneumonia and 158 asymptomatic infections were added, of which 3 confirmed cases and 3 asymptomatic infections were detected in social surface nucleic acid testing and 17 confirmed cases and 155 asymptomatic infections were detected in isolation control. There were 6 confirmed cases and 52 asymptomatic cases of imported NCCP from abroad.

Status of local cases

From 0-24 hours on November 28, 2022, there were 20 new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia. One case was cured and discharged from the hospital.

The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 2 was a Chinese national who worked in Germany and departed from Germany and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 24, 2022, and was placed under intensive quarantine observation upon arrival, during which he developed symptoms. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 3, a Chinese national working in France, departed from France and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 25, 2022, and was placed under intensive isolation for observation upon arrival, during which she developed symptoms. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.

Cases 4-6 were all Chinese crew members who arrived in Shanghai with the ship from the Philippines on November 25, 2022, and were placed under intensive isolation and observation upon entry, during which they developed symptoms. Six cases of overseas imported confirmed cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 33 close contacts have been traced, all of whom have been put under centralized isolation and observation.
