Fuchuan City to carry out epidemic prevention and control emergency reserve volunteer training

In order to further improve emergency volunteer services for epidemic prevention and control, enhance volunteers’ knowledge of epidemic protection and emergency handling ability, and ensure timely, orderly, fast and safe epidemic prevention and control volunteer services, on September 17, the Fuchuan Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, together with the Fuchuan New Era Civilization Practice Office and the Fuchuan Center for Disease Control and Prevention, conducted a training session for epidemic prevention and control emergency reserve volunteers. 116 epidemic prevention and control emergency reserve volunteers attended the training. The training was attended by 116 volunteers from the emergency reserve.

During the training, the person in charge of the Health Education Section of the Municipal Health Bureau taught the first batch of youth emergency commando volunteers about the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, and focused on personal protection, nucleic acid testing process, nucleic acid testing site layout and other important contents for detailed explanation and demonstration, and after the demonstration, volunteer representatives practiced putting on and taking off protective clothing under the guidance of medical personnel.

Young people of Fuquan are taking action to prevent and control the epidemic. It is understood that in recent times, the Fuchuan Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League has recruited three batches of epidemic prevention and control reserve volunteers totaling 1,398 people, divided into five groups: nucleic acid testing group, joint prevention and control group, material delivery group, emergency mobile group, and university student group. The first batch of youth emergency commando team that participated in the training is the youth emergency commando team that remains on standby, responsive and ready to respond in the usual state, and can actively and quickly respond to the call to be the first time, the first place, and the emergency collection to participate wholeheartedly in volunteer services in the emergency state of the epidemic outbreak.

Through the training, the volunteers have said that the training has not only improved their awareness of epidemic prevention and control, but also further mastered the methods of epidemic prevention and control. Once the epidemic prevention and control work is needed, they will do a good job of their own protection and be the first to join the epidemic prevention and control volunteer services, showing the mission and responsibility of young people.

Guo Yun, a volunteer of Little Tree Public Welfare in Fuquan City, said, “Through this training, we learned how to protect ourselves in the epidemic prevention and control work, as well as the ways and means of epidemic prevention and control work and other knowledge, and we hope to drive more people and volunteers to devote themselves to the epidemic prevention and control work through this activity and make a contribution to our epidemic prevention and control work.”

In the next step, the Fuchuan Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League will continue to carry out the recruitment and training of volunteers in the social category of reserve, establish a team of volunteers who have reserves in times of peace and emergency for epidemic prevention and control, and further build a solid barrier for epidemic prevention and control in Fuchuan.
