One new local confirmed case in Shanghai yesterday

The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission informed this morning (September 14) that from 0-24 hours on September 13, 2022, there was one new confirmed case of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia, which was found in closed-loop control. Eight new confirmed cases of imported new coronary pneumonia from abroad and eight asymptomatic infections were detected in closed-loop control.

On September 13, 2022 from 00-24 hours, there was one new confirmed case of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia in Shanghai.

The case, residing in Minhang District, was a student returning to Shanghai from a foreign province. After arriving in Shanghai, health management was implemented according to the requirements, during which symptoms appeared and nucleic acid test results were abnormal. By the city and district CDC review, the nucleic acid test result was positive. After consultation by municipal experts, a diagnosis of a confirmed case was made by integrating epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings.

From 00-24 hours on September 13, 2022, there were no new indigenous asymptomatic infections in Shanghai.

From 0-24 hours on September 13, 2022, through the joint prevention and control mechanism at the port, Shanghai reported 8 confirmed cases of overseas imported Neocrown Pneumonia. Eleven cases were cured and discharged, including six cases from the United States, one case from Argentina, one case from Canada, one case from the United Kingdom, one case from France, and one case from Germany.

Case 1 was of Chinese nationality, traveling in Canada, departing from Canada and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 7, 2022, and was placed in centralized isolation for observation upon entry, during which he developed symptoms. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.

Cases 2-6 are all of Chinese nationality, Case 2 and Case 3 are visiting relatives in the United States, Case 4 and Case 5 are working in the United States, and Case 6 is studying in the United States. Cases 2-6 departed from the United States on the same flight and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 10, 2022, and were placed under intensive isolation and observation upon entry, during which they developed symptoms. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 7 was a Chinese national visiting relatives in Canada, who arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport from Canada on September 11, 2022 and was placed under intensive quarantine for observation upon entry, during which she developed symptoms. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 8 was a Chinese national who worked in Germany and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 12, 2022, via Italy and Finland, and was placed under intensive quarantine upon entry for observation. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as confirmed cases.

Eight cases of confirmed cases imported from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 94 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

From 0-24 hours on September 13, 2022, there were 8 new cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad to Shanghai.

Asymptomatic infected person 1 is a resident of Taiwan, living in Taiwan, departed from Taiwan and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 8, 2022, and was placed under centralized isolation and observation after entering customs, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 2 was of Chinese nationality, studied in Canada, departed from Canada, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 9, 2022, and was placed under intensive quarantine observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 3 was a Canadian national, working in Canada, departed from Canada and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 10, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected patients4 were of Chinese nationality, working in Sri Lanka, departed from Sri Lanka, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 10, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 5 and asymptomatic infected person 6, both of Chinese nationality, studied in the United States, departed from the United States, took the same flight, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 10, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected patients7 were of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in Canada, departing from Canada and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 12, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected patients8 were of Chinese nationality, studied in the United Kingdom, departed from the United Kingdom, transferred via Singapore, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 12, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Eight cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons have been transferred to designated medical institutions for medical observation, and 206 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

On September 13, 2022, 0-24 hours, Shanghai released 2 cases of foreign imported asymptomatic infections from medical observation.

From 0:00 on July 3, 2022 to 24:00 on September 13, 2022, a total of 171 cases were confirmed in Shanghai, 189 cases were cured and discharged, 6 cases were treated in hospital, and 0 cases died; there were 745 asymptomatic infections. There are 0 suspected cases to be investigated.
