One new local confirmed case in Shanghai yesterday
The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission informed this morning (September 14) that from 0-24 hours on September 13, 2022, there was one new confirmed case of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia, which was found in closed-loop control. Eight new confirmed cases of imported new coronary pneumonia from abroad and eight asymptomatic infections were detected in closed-loop control.

The case, residing in Minhang District, was a student returning to Shanghai from a foreign province. After arriving in Shanghai, health management was implemented according to the requirements, during which symptoms appeared and nucleic acid test results were abnormal. By the city and district CDC review, the nucleic acid test result was positive. After consultation by municipal experts, a diagnosis of a confirmed case was made by integrating epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings.
From 00-24 hours on September 13, 2022, there were no new indigenous asymptomatic infections in Shanghai.
From 0-24 hours on September 13, 2022, through the joint prevention and control mechanism at the port, Shanghai reported 8 confirmed cases of overseas imported Neocrown Pneumonia. Eleven cases were cured and discharged, including six cases from the United States, one case from Argentina, one case from Canada, one case from the United Kingdom, one case from France, and one case from Germany.
Case 1 was of Chinese nationality, traveling in Canada, departing from Canada and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 7, 2022, and was placed in centralized isolation for observation upon entry, during which he developed symptoms. Case 7 was a Chinese national visiting relatives in Canada, who arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport from Canada on September 11, 2022 and was placed under intensive quarantine for observation upon entry, during which she developed symptoms. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.
Case 8 was a Chinese national who worked in Germany and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on September 12, 2022, via Italy and Finland, and was placed under intensive quarantine upon entry for observation. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as confirmed cases.
Eight cases of confirmed cases imported from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 94 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive.
