Guizhou Academy of Water Sciences: strengthen the leadership of party building and actively participate in epidemic prevention and control

The epidemic is an order, and prevention and control is a responsibility. In the face of the complex and severe anti-epidemic situation, the Party Branch of the Provincial Academy of Water Sciences strengthened the leadership of Party building, firmly established the concept of people first, resolutely implemented the general strategy of “external prevention of importation and internal prevention of rebound” and the general policy of “dynamic zero”, rose to the challenge and took the initiative, and called on all members of the Academy to Party members with the role of dedication to interpret the “water science Danxin shine party flag” party building brand connotation, with practical action to practice the “I am a member of the party I first, you are a member of the party I follow” loud slogan. The party members and workers of the Academy of Water Sciences actively participated in the front line of epidemic prevention and control, and gathered a strong synergy to fight the “epidemic” with one heart.

Leaders take the lead

Zhang Hui, Secretary of the Party General Branch and President of the Academy, was the first to make requirements and arrangements for prevention and control work, and to support and encourage party members and employees to actively participate in epidemic prevention and control volunteer activities. On September 4, Li Mei, a member of the Party General Branch and Vice President of the Academy, led two volunteers from the Academy to work at the nucleic acid collection site in Jiaxiu Square, and on September 5, Wu Haikuan, a member of the Party General Branch and Vice President of the Academy, led three volunteers from the Academy to work at the nucleic acid collection site in Nucleic acid collection point of Water Resources Department to carry out work. The leader of the team, as an ordinary volunteer, together with other staff members, maintained order, took temperature, checked the double code, and led the volunteers of CAS to successfully complete the work tasks assigned at the collection point. Zhang Hexi, a member of the General Party Branch and Chief Engineer of the Academy, carried the responsibility of network and prevention and control, and actively carried out the work related to the prevention and investigation of network ideology and network security issues in the Academy during the epidemic.

Employees’ courage and dedication

After the General Party Branch of the hospital issued the initiative, party and group members took the lead and employees responded positively at the first time. Seven comrades, including Li Mei, Wang Hong, Lei Wei, Qiao Wei, Tang Liang, Wu Haikuan and Wei Xu Tao, confirmed their registration. The volunteers sacrificed their small families and worked hard for everyone, without fearing the risks and hardships, seriously participated in the pre-job training, made solid preparations for the job, and committed themselves to the front line of the epidemic. In addition, in order to show the organization’s care for old comrades, the Party General Branch of the Academy of Water Sciences initiated the pairing of active workers to help retired old workers, solving their difficulties in life security and nucleic acid testing, and reducing the pressure of fighting epidemics in the community. We took the initiative to match and serve enthusiastically, which was unanimously praised by the old workers. At the same time, due to the difference in regional control policies, residents were not allowed to leave their neighborhoods, so CAS employees Fu Tiejiang, Feng Cheng, Fang Qiong, Li Fei, Tan Juan, Tax Zhenhua, Zhu Jie, Zhao Songbo, An Meiyun, Wang Congfu, and retired employee Mao Muxian joined the volunteer team in their places of residence to participate in the local anti-epidemic work. The volunteers of CAS carried forward the great anti-epidemic spirit, stepped forward, and participated in the construction of the “red line of defense” for epidemic prevention and control, fully guarding people’s lives and health, and fully demonstrating the firm belief of the party members and workers of the institute in being loyal to the party and the people.
