No new confirmed cases of new native coronary pneumonia in Shanghai yesterday, 19 new cases of native asymptomatic infections

On October 24, 2022 from 00-24 hours, there were no new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia and 19 new indigenous asymptomatic infections, all of which were found in isolation control. There were 2 new confirmed cases of imported extranational New Crown pneumonia and 20 new asymptomatic infections, all of which were found in closed-loop control.

Status of local cases

There were no new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia from 00-24 hours on October 24, 2022. Two cases were cured and discharged from the hospital.

Status of native asymptomatic infected persons

There were 19 new cases of indigenous asymptomatic infected persons on October 24, 2022 from 00-24 hours.

Asymptomatic infected person 1 – Asymptomatic infected person 4, residing in Pudong New Area

Asymptomatic infected person 5, residing in Xuhui District

Asymptomatic infected person 6, residing in Jing’an district

Asymptomatic infected person 7, residing in Yangpu district

asymptomatic infected person 8 – asymptomatic infected person 13, residing in Minhang District, the

asymptomatic infected person 14, asymptomatic infected person 15, residing in Songjiang District, the

Asymptomatic infected person 16, residing in Qingpu District.

All of them are close contacts of the local infected persons from other provinces who returned to Shanghai previously reported in the city. During the isolation and control period, the nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus were abnormal, and the results were reviewed by the CDC as positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infected persons.

Asymptomatic infected person 17, residing in Pudong New Area, was a person returning to Shanghai from other provinces. Asymptomatic infected person 18, temporarily residing in Pudong New Area, was a person coming to Shanghai from other provinces, and was implemented for control after arrival in Shanghai, during which the nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal. Reviewed by the city and district CDC, the nucleic acid test result was positive. After municipal expert consultation, comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infected persons.

Asymptomatic infected person 19, temporarily residing in Songjiang District, is a person who came to Shanghai from other provinces, received notification from foreign provinces and cities, and was isolated and controlled after arriving in Shanghai, during which the nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal.

The situation of imported cases from abroad

On October 24, 2022, from 0-24 hours, 2 confirmed cases of overseas imported neocrown pneumonia were reported through the joint prevention and control mechanism at the port. Two cases were cured and discharged, including one case from Australia and one case from New Zealand.

Case 1 was of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in New Zealand, departed from New Zealand and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 18, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which symptoms appeared. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 2, a Chinese national living in the United States, departed from the United States and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 23, 2022, and was sent to a designated medical facility for isolation and observation upon entry because of symptoms. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.

Two cases of overseas imported confirmed cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 34 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

The situation of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons

From 0 to 24 October 2022, there were 20 new cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad.

Asymptomatic infected person 1 is a resident of Taiwan, visiting relatives in Taiwan, departed from Taiwan and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 13, 2022, and was placed under centralized isolation and observation upon entry, with abnormal nucleic acid testing prior to release from isolation. After screening, the district CDC nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 2 was of Chinese nationality, working in Germany, departed from Germany and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 19, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 3 was of Chinese nationality, working in Singapore, departed from Singapore and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 20, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected patients4 were of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in Canada, departing from Canada and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 21, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected patients5 were of Chinese nationality, working in Japan, departed from Japan and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 21, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic Infected Person 6 – Asymptomatic Infected Person 8 are all Chinese nationals, Asymptomatic Infected Person 6 was visiting relatives in Canada, Asymptomatic Infected Person 7 was living in Canada, Asymptomatic Infected Person 8 was working in Canada, Asymptomatic Infected Person 6 – Asymptomatic Infected Person 8 departed from Canada, took the same flight and arrived at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 22, 2022 Shanghai Pudong International Airport and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic Infected Person 9 and Asymptomatic Infected Person 10, both of Chinese nationality, worked in Thailand, departed from Thailand, took the same flight, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 22, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 11 was a Japanese national and worked in Taiwan, asymptomatic infected person 12-asymptomatic infected person 15 were all residents of Taiwan, asymptomatic infected person 12 and asymptomatic infected person 13 lived in Taiwan, asymptomatic infected person 14 and asymptomatic infected person 15 visited their relatives in Taiwan, asymptomatic infected person 11- Asymptomatic infected person 15 departed from Taiwan area, took the same flight, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 22, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

The asymptomatic infected person16 was of Chinese nationality, worked in Hong Kong, departed from Hong Kong, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 22, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

The asymptomatic infected person17 was of Chinese nationality, living in the United Kingdom, departed from the United Kingdom, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 22, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

The asymptomatic infected person18 was of Chinese nationality, working in the United States, departed from the United States, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 23, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person19 and asymptomatic infected person20 were both American nationals living in the United States, departed from the United States, transferred via Canada, took the same flight, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 23, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Twenty cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for medical observation, and 533 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.
