According to reports, from the beginning of the current round of epidemic, the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have been highly concerned about the feeding of all animals in the Panda Base Park, contacting the Panda Base at the first opportunity to understand the difficulties that existed after the closure of the Park, and assisting the Panda Base to safely and effectively solve the problem of animal food supply and transportation, ensuring that the food of all animals in the Panda Base was effectively supplied and guaranteed. In order to meet the supply of bamboo for the pandas in the park, more than 4,000 catties of bamboo and 5,000 catties of bamboo shoots were delivered on time from more than 300 kilometers away every day, ensuring that each giant panda could have fresh and sufficient food every day.

The problem of daily “rations” for the pandas was solved, and the “nurse” and “nurse” breathed a sigh of relief, accompanying the lovely rollers to start a stable and safe The “home life”. The panda base was closed for management according to the epidemic prevention and control requirements, and the work of feeding, nursing and disease prevention and control of pandas was carried out in an orderly manner. 76 keepers were stationed at the panda base, not rotating their posts and not changing their breaks, wholeheartedly guaranteeing the health and normal life of all pandas. The pandas’ favorite nest and apples are delivered in full, and the environment is plentiful, hygienic, and the animal house is fully disinfected and safely managed. It is also the season for pandas to give birth and raise their cubs, and the “nannies” are standing by the pandas day and night, caring for the safety and health of the pandas’ mothers and cubs.

The pandas in the park are also living peacefully under the careful care of all the staff. Even the 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Luding, Sichuan on September 5 did not affect the pandas at all.
