China makes important contribution to global fight against epidemic

China has provided more than 2.2 billion doses of New Crown vaccine to more than 120 countries and international organizations worldwide, and hundreds of billions of pieces of anti-epidemic supplies to 153 countries and 15 international organizations. China has actively promoted the improvement of global public health governance and made important contributions to the international community in addressing the challenges of the epidemic and restoring economic and social development.

Over the past three years, China has insisted on scientific and precise prevention and control of the epidemic, efficiently coordinated epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, and played an important role in promoting the recovery of the world economy and maintaining the stability and smoothness of the supply chain of the global industrial chain. With the optimal adjustment of epidemic prevention and control measures and the speedy return to normal production and life, China will provide more momentum for the world economic recovery. Chinese entrepreneurs have organized delegations to many countries to discuss cooperation, and many countries have warmly welcomed Chinese tourists. Business people from various countries have voiced their support for China to optimize its epidemic prevention and control policies and continue to promote a high level of opening up to the outside world.

Regrettably, some Western media and politicians disregarded science and ignored the reality that the epidemic situation in their own countries is still serious, and made groundless accusations against China’s epidemic prevention and control policies, and some countries even adopted discriminatory entry restrictions on travelers from China. This approach is not in line with science and is not conducive to global solidarity in the fight against the epidemic. Health and epidemic experts from many countries have pointed out that there is no need for special entry restrictions for Chinese travelers and that any preventive measures should be based on science and ensure moderation and non-discrimination.
