Azulfidine tablets can be reimbursed! Hunan added several new crown drugs to the medical insurance reimbursement

The much-anticipated new coronavirus drugs such as nematovir tablets/ritonavir tablets and azelvadine tablets can be reimbursed by medical insurance in Hunan.

On the 10th, Hunan Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau issued a notice on the temporary inclusion of relevant drugs into the scope of payment of basic medical insurance, which temporarily added the drugs not included in the medical insurance catalog in the “New Coronavirus Infection Treatment Plan (Trial Version 10)” into the scope of payment of basic medical insurance (see Figure 1 for specific varieties), and managed them according to Class A drugs.

For drugs that have been included in the “New Coronavirus Infection Treatment Plan (Trial Version 10)” but are not explicitly included in the limited scope of medical insurance payment for the treatment of new coronavirus (see Figure 2 for specific varieties), the temporary addition of “new coronavirus infection treatment” payment scope.

This notice is effective from the date of issuance and will be implemented until March 31, 2023.
