The National Health Commission informed on September 21, September 20 0-24 hours, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 166 new cases of confirmed cases of new crown pneumonia. 327 new cases were cured and discharged on the same day, including 49 cases imported from abroad and 278 local cases (86 cases in Sichuan, 64 cases in Hainan, 45 cases in Guangdong, 31 cases in Tibet, 9 cases in Shandong, 7 cases in Liaoning, 6 cases in Shaanxi, 5 cases in Guangxi, 4 cases in Beijing, 4 cases in Jilin, 4 cases in Qinghai, 2 cases in Tianjin, 2 cases in Henan, 2 cases in Chongqing, 2 cases in Guizhou, 1 case in Inner Mongolia, 1 case in Jiangsu, 1 case in Jiangxi (1 case in Hunan, 1 case in Yunnan), 23,767 close contacts released from medical observation, and 2 more serious cases than the previous day.

There are 571 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and no suspected cases. The total number of confirmed cases is 23527, the total number of cured cases is 22,956, and there are no fatal cases.

As of 24:00 on September 20, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 3,297 confirmed cases (including 42 severe cases), 240,121 cumulative cured and discharged cases, 5,226 cumulative fatal cases, 248,644 cumulative reported confirmed cases, and no existing suspected cases. A total of 5,851,059 close contacts have been traced, and 157,786 close contacts are still under medical observation.

31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 581 new cases of asymptomatic infections, including 96 cases imported from abroad and 485 local cases (155 cases in Tibet, 131 cases in Guizhou, 102 cases in Heilongjiang, 27 cases in Sichuan, 11 cases in Xinjiang, 10 cases in Guangxi, 9 cases in Hubei, 8 cases in Tianjin, 8 cases in Henan, 5 cases in Gansu, 5 cases in Qinghai, 4 cases in Ningxia, 2 cases in Shandong (2 cases in Guangdong, 2 cases in Yunnan, 1 case in Hebei, 1 case in Zhejiang, 1 case in Jiangxi, and 1 case in Shaanxi).

On the same day, 2048 cases of asymptomatic infected persons were released from medical observation, of which 102 cases were imported from abroad and 1946 cases were local (1129 cases in Tibet, 213 cases in Heilongjiang, 83 cases in Liaoning, 71 cases in Jiangxi, 68 cases in Guangxi, 67 cases in Sichuan, 59 cases in Guizhou, 46 cases in Shandong, 42 cases in Hainan, 31 cases in Xinjiang, 20 cases in Hubei, 19 cases in Guangdong, 16 cases in Shaanxi, 14 cases in Jilin, 14 cases in Henan (14 cases, 12 cases in Tianjin, 11 cases in Gansu, 11 cases in Qinghai, 9 cases in Inner Mongolia, 2 cases in Shanxi, 2 cases in Shanghai, 2 cases in Jiangsu, 2 cases in Anhui, 2 cases in Fujian, 1 case in Hebei); 23 cases were turned into confirmed cases on the same day (5 cases imported from abroad); 15,528 cases of asymptomatic infected persons are still under medical observation (766 cases imported from abroad).

Cumulatively, 6,452,469 cases of confirmed cases were received from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
