From 0 to 24 hours on November 2, there were 69 new local confirmed cases in the province (50 in Guangzhou, 10 in Shenzhen, 5 in Shantou, 3 in Meizhou and 1 in Maoming); 356 new local asymptomatic infections (323 in Guangzhou, 1 in Shenzhen, 1 in Zhuhai, 5 in Shantou, 7 in Foshan, 17 in Meizhou, 1 in Yangjiang and 1 in Jieyang); and 34 local asymptomatic to confirmed cases (Guangzhou (33 cases in Guangzhou, 1 case in Shantou). There were 12 new confirmed cases imported from abroad (Guangzhou 2, Shenzhen 7, Zhuhai 1, Foshan 1, Shanwei 1); 28 new asymptomatic infections imported from abroad (Guangzhou 7, Shenzhen 10, Zhuhai 1, Foshan 3, Dongguan 6, Zhaoqing 1).
The province discharged 45 new cases (9 cases imported from abroad), currently 1228 cases in the hospital (124 cases imported from abroad); 82 new cases of asymptomatic infected persons released from medical observation (24 cases imported from abroad), 2565 cases of asymptomatic infected persons still under medical observation (242 cases imported from abroad).
As of 24:00 on November 2, the province reported a total of 26,228 cases of new positive pneumonia infections (14,095 cases imported from abroad), including 12,383 confirmed cases (5,858 cases imported from abroad) and 13,845 asymptomatic infections (8,237 cases imported from abroad).
