Macau has 16 new cases of new coronavirus infection

December 5, 2012 – The Macau Novel Coronavirus Infection Response Coordination Center (hereinafter referred to as the Response Coordination Center) said that there are 16 new cases of new coronavirus infection in Macau today, including 11 women and 5 men, aged 14 to 61 years old, of whom 6 have symptoms and are classified as confirmed cases and 10 are asymptomatic and classified as asymptomatic infections. From November 28 to 6 p.m. today, the total number of infected people is 56.

Among the 16 cases of new coronavirus infection, 7 cases were found in public health clinical centers and medical observation hotels, and 2 cases were found in close contacts, 3 cases were found in Macau, 3 cases were found in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, and 1 case was found in the community through mixed nucleic acid testing and self-antigen testing. Six of the above cases were imported from the Mainland, including three cases from Guangdong, two cases from Beijing and one case from other provinces, while the other three cases were imported associated cases.

The information of the six confirmed cases is as follows.

16-year-old male, Macau resident, self-reported positive rapid antigen test.

14-year-old female, Macau resident, a family member living with the earlier case, who was under control on December 4.

19-year-old female, Macau resident, a friend of the earlier case, was under control on December 4

31 year old male, Macau resident, family member residing with him in the earlier case, was under control on December 4

51-year-old female, Mainland resident, entered Macau from Dongguan City, Guangdong Province via Zhuhai on December 2, with a positive mixed sample from MGM MACAU and a positive re-test case.

55-year-old female, Mainland resident, entered Macau from Liaoning Province via Zhuhai on December 2, with a positive mixed sample of Venetian and a positive re-test case.

Information on the 10 asymptomatic infected cases are as follows.

58-year-old female, Macau resident, a family member living with her in the earlier case, who was under control on December 3.

40-year-old female, Macau resident, a co-worker of the earlier case, was under control on December 4.

49-year-old female, Macau resident, a colleague of the earlier case, was placed under control on December 4

36-year-old female, Mainland resident, a co-inhabitant of an earlier case, notified by Zhuhai (Hengqin) of a positive mixed sample and a positive retest case

35-year-old male, Mainland resident, co-resident of an earlier case, positive mixed sample and positive re-test case at MGM MACAU.

31-year-old female, Mainland resident, a close contact of the earlier case who shared a meal

60-year-old female, Macau resident, a family member residing with her in the earlier case, who was under control on December 3

52-year-old male, Mainland resident, entered Macau from Zhuhai, Guangdong Province on December 4, and was notified by Zhuhai (Changping She Park) of a positive mixed sample and a positive retest case.

61-year-old male, Hong Kong resident, entered Macau from Haizhu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, via Zhuhai on December 4, and was notified by Zhuhai City (Xiangzhou District People’s Hospital) of a positive mixed sample and a positive re-test case.

A 52-year-old female, a Vietnamese expatriate, was a close contact of the earlier case.
