New crown pneumonia epidemic in Guangdong Province on October 21, 2022

From 0 to 24 hours on October 20, there were 27 new local confirmed cases in the province (10 in Guangzhou, 9 in Shenzhen, 6 in Foshan, 1 in Zhaoqing and 1 in Qingyuan); 62 new local asymptomatic infections (46 in Guangzhou, 5 in Shenzhen, 1 in Foshan, 7 in Zhongshan and 3 in Jieyang). The province has 23 new confirmed cases of imported foreign cases (14 in Guangzhou, 7 in Shenzhen, 1 in Zhuhai, 1 in Yangjiang); 35 new cases of imported foreign asymptomatic infections (20 in Guangzhou, 3 in Shenzhen, 1 in Zhuhai, 8 in Foshan, 3 in Dongguan); and 2 cases of imported foreign asymptomatic infections to confirmed cases (1 in Foshan, 1 in Yangjiang).
There are 48 new cases discharged from the province (16 cases imported from abroad) and 648 cases currently in the hospital (191 cases imported from abroad); 28 new cases of asymptomatic infected persons released from medical observation (17 cases imported from abroad) and 599 cases of asymptomatic infected persons still under medical observation (186 cases imported from abroad).
As of 24:00 on October 20, the province reported a total of 22,311 positive cases of new coronary pneumonia (13,631 cases imported from abroad), including 11,138 confirmed cases (5,714 cases imported from abroad) and 11,173 asymptomatic cases (7,917 cases imported from abroad).
