From 0 to 24:00 on September 21, there were 2 new cases of local asymptomatic infections in the province (2 cases in Guangzhou); and 1 case of local asymptomatic infections to confirmed cases (1 case in Qingyuan). There were 11 new confirmed cases imported from abroad (Guangzhou 8, Shenzhen 2, Qingyuan 1); 15 new cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad (Guangzhou 1, Shenzhen 2, Foshan 7, Dongguan 4, Zhaoqing 1); 2 other cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad were transferred to confirmed cases (Guangzhou 1, Foshan 1).
There are 33 new cases discharged from the province (9 cases imported from abroad), 290 cases are currently in the hospital (145 cases imported from abroad); 25 new cases of asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation (12 cases imported from abroad), 236 cases of asymptomatic infections are still under medical observation (163 cases imported from abroad).
As of 24:00 on September 21, the province reported a total of 19,912 positive cases of new pneumonia (12,605 cases imported from abroad), including 9,827 confirmed cases (5,209 cases imported from abroad) and 10,085 asymptomatic cases (7,396 cases imported from abroad).
