From 0 to 24 hours on December 2, there were 1,262 new local confirmed cases in the province (826 in Guangzhou, 116 in Shenzhen, 6 in Zhuhai, 38 in Shantou, 53 in Foshan, 8 in Shaoguan, 7 in Heyuan, 13 in Huizhou, 39 in Zhongshan, 10 in Jiangmen, 6 in Yangjiang, 58 in Zhanjiang, 34 in Maoming, 28 in Zhaoqing, 5 in Qingyuan, 7 in Chaozhou, 8 in Yunfu); new local 5,053 cases of asymptomatic infection (4,096 cases in Guangzhou, 107 cases in Shenzhen, 19 cases in Zhuhai, 10 cases in Shantou, 237 cases in Foshan, 4 cases in Shaoguan, 13 cases in Heyuan, 20 cases in Meizhou, 33 cases in Huizhou, 20 cases in Shanwei, 149 cases in Dongguan, 107 cases in Zhongshan, 14 cases in Jiangmen, 3 cases in Yangjiang, 64 cases in Zhanjiang, 17 cases in Maoming, 15 cases in Zhaoqing, 53 cases in Qingyuan, 9 cases in Chaozhou (Jieyang 62 cases, Yunfu 1 case); another 404 cases of local asymptomatic infected people were confirmed (Guangzhou 375 cases, Shantou 1 case, Shaoguan 1 case, Zhongshan 21 cases, Maoming 1 case, Qingyuan 2 cases, Jieyang 2 cases, Yunfu 1 case). The province imported 12 new confirmed cases (Guangzhou 6 cases, Shenzhen 5 cases, Foshan 1 case); 24 new cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad (Guangzhou 16 cases, Shenzhen 7 cases, Jieyang 1 case).

The province discharged 1,622 cases (22 cases imported from abroad), currently 12,950 cases (213 cases imported from abroad); 10,321 new cases of asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation (25 cases imported from abroad), 92,126 cases of asymptomatic infections are still under medical observation (212 cases imported from abroad).

As of 24:00 on December 2, the province reported a total of 204,211 positive cases of new pneumonia (15,277 cases imported from abroad), including 40,730 confirmed cases (6,406 cases imported from abroad) and 163,481 asymptomatic cases (8,871 cases imported from abroad).
