October 18, 0-24 hours, the province’s new local confirmed cases of 49 cases (Guangzhou 21 cases, Shenzhen 11 cases, Foshan 8 cases, Huizhou 1 case, Dongguan 3 cases, Zhongshan 2 cases, Qingyuan 3 cases); new local asymptomatic infected 48 cases (Guangzhou 31 cases, Shenzhen 9 cases, Huizhou 1 case, Dongguan 1 case, Zhongshan 5 cases, Jieyang 1 case); another case of local asymptomatic infected to confirmed cases (Guangzhou (1 case). There were 12 new confirmed cases imported from abroad (Guangzhou 2, Shenzhen 4, Foshan 2, Yangjiang 4); 26 new cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad (Guangzhou 5, Shenzhen 3, Zhuhai 2, Foshan 11, Dongguan 3, Yangjiang 2).
There were 59 new cases discharged from the province (16 cases imported from abroad), and 672 cases are currently in the hospital (185 cases imported from abroad); 34 new cases of asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation (17 cases imported from abroad), and 473 cases of asymptomatic infections are still under medical observation (160 cases imported from abroad).
As of 24:00 on October 18, the province reported a total of 22,035 positive cases of new pneumonia (13,528 cases imported from abroad), including 11,046 confirmed cases (5,675 cases imported from abroad) and 10,989 asymptomatic cases (7,853 cases imported from abroad).
