One new local confirmed case and 18 new local asymptomatic infections in Shanghai yesterday

On October 25, 2022, from 0-24 hours, there were 1 new confirmed case of indigenous New Crest Pneumonia and 18 asymptomatic infections in Shanghai, of which 1 confirmed case and 15 asymptomatic infections were found in isolation control. There were 6 new confirmed cases of overseas imported Newcastle pneumonia and 30 asymptomatic infections, all of which were found in closed-loop control.

On October 25, 2022, from 00-24 hours, one new confirmed case of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia was added.

The case resided in Minhang District and was a close contact of a previously reported local infected person from a foreign province in Shanghai. The nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal during the isolation control period, and the result was reviewed by the CDC as positive. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as a confirmed case.

On October 25, 2022 from 00-24 hours, there were 18 new cases of indigenous asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 1, residing in Yangpu District, was found to be abnormal in the standing nucleic acid test, which was reviewed by the city and district CDC, and the nucleic acid test result was positive. Diagnosed as asymptomatic infected by municipal expert consultation, comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings. (Released on October 25)

Asymptomatic infected person 2, residing in Yangpu District, was found abnormal in the standing nucleic acid test, and the nucleic acid test result was positive after review by the city and district CDC. Diagnosed as an asymptomatic infected person after consultation with municipal experts and comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings. The nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus were abnormal during the isolation and control period, and the results were reviewed by the CDC as positive. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected persons10, residing in Pudong New Area, asymptomatic infected persons11, residing in Xuhui District, asymptomatic infected persons12, asymptomatic infected persons13, residing in Minhang District, asymptomatic infected persons14, residing in Jiading District, asymptomatic infected persons15, asymptomatic infected persons16, residing in Songjiang District, asymptomatic infected persons17, residing in Fengxian District, were all previously reported in Shanghai as returning infected persons from other provinces to Shanghai. All of them are close contacts of the same unit of the local infected person who came to Shanghai from other provinces. The nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus were abnormal during the isolation and control period, and the results were reviewed by the CDC as positive. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 18, residing in Pudong New Area, was a close contact of the local asymptomatic infected person reported in Shanghai on October 21. The nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus during isolation control were abnormal and were reviewed by the CDC as positive. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of an asymptomatic infected person.

On October 25, 2022, from 00-24 hours, 6 confirmed cases of overseas imported neocrown pneumonia were reported through the joint prevention and control mechanism at the port. One case was cured and discharged from hospital, from Canada.

Case 1 was of German nationality, living in Germany, departed from Germany and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 13, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry and developed symptoms before being released from isolation. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were integrated and diagnosed as a confirmed case.

Case 2 was of Australian nationality and Case 3 was of Chinese nationality. Case 2 and Case 3 lived in Australia, departed from Australia, took the same flight and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 19, 2022, and were placed under intensive quarantine for observation upon entry, during which they developed symptoms. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of a confirmed case.

Case 4 was a Japanese national, visiting relatives in Japan, who arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 23, 2022 from Japan and was placed under intensive quarantine observation upon entry, during which he developed symptoms. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 5 was a New Zealand national living in New Zealand, departed from New Zealand and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 23, 2022, and was placed under intensive isolation for observation upon entry, during which she developed symptoms. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 6, a Chinese national working in France, departed from France and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 24, 2022, and was sent to a designated medical institution for isolation and observation upon arrival because of symptoms. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as confirmed cases.

Six cases of confirmed cases imported from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 88 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

On October 25, 2022, from 00-24 hours, there were 30 new cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad.

Asymptomatic infected person 2 was of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in the UK, departed from the UK, transferred via Hong Kong, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 18, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 3 was a German national living in Germany, and asymptomatic infected person 4 was a Chinese national working in Germany. Asymptomatic infected person 3 and asymptomatic infected person 4 departed from Germany on the same flight and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 18, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic infected person 7 and asymptomatic infected person 8 are both of Chinese nationality, asymptomatic infected person 7 studied in Canada and asymptomatic infected person 8 worked in Canada. Asymptomatic infected person 7 and asymptomatic infected person 8 departed from Canada, took the same flight and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 22, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic infected person27 and asymptomatic infected person28, both of Chinese nationality, were visiting relatives in Canada, departed from Canada, took the same flight, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 24, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

The asymptomatic infected person29 was of Chinese nationality, working in Finland, departed from Finland and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 24, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

The asymptomatic infected person30 was of Chinese nationality, working in France, departed from France, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 24, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Thirty cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons have been transferred to designated medical institutions for medical observation, and 502 close contacts of the same flight have been traced and all have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

From 0-24 hours on October 25, 2022, 42 cases of asymptomatic infected persons were released from medical observation, including 25 cases of local asymptomatic infected persons and 17 cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons.

From 0000 hours on July 3, 2022 to 2400 hours on October 25, 2022, a cumulative total of 202 cases were confirmed in the local area.
