Qatar: Passengers entering from China must show proof of negative nucleic acid within 48 hours

The Qatari Ministry of Public Health announced on Jan. 2, local time, that starting Tuesday night (Jan. 2), all passengers traveling to Qatar from China, regardless of vaccination or immunization status, must present a negative nucleic acid certificate within 48 hours upon departure for Qatar, Qatar News Agency reported.

The ministry noted that this policy is a temporary measure designed to protect passengers and local communities traveling to Qatar.

The Qatari Ministry of Public Health added that quarantine is no longer mandatory for all travelers from abroad, but travelers who become infected with the new coronavirus after entering Qatar must undergo health quarantine in accordance with Qatari procedures.
