The Municipal Health Commission informed this morning (November 15) that from 0-24 hours on November 14, 2022, there were no new local confirmed cases of New Coronary Pneumonia and 16 new local asymptomatic infections, all of which were found in isolation control. There were 2 new confirmed cases of imported New Coronary Pneumonia from abroad and 19 new asymptomatic infections.

From 0-24 hours on November 14, 2022, there were no new confirmed cases of indigenous New Crested Pneumonia.

There were 16 new cases of indigenous asymptomatic infections on November 14, 2022 from 0-24 hours.

Asymptomatic infected person 1, residing in Pudong New Area, was a close contact of a previously reported local infected person from a foreign province returning to Shanghai in the city. The nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal during the isolation and control period, and the result was reviewed by the CDC as positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 2, residing in Pudong New Area, asymptomatic infected person 3, residing in Xuhui District, asymptomatic infected person 4, residing in Yangpu District, asymptomatic infected person 5, asymptomatic infected person 6, residing in Baoshan District, asymptomatic infected person 7, temporarily residing in Jiading District, asymptomatic infected person 8, residing in Songjiang District, asymptomatic infected person 9, residing in Fengxian District, all of them are people who came to Shanghai from other provinces and returned to Shanghai, after arriving in Shanghai were implemented control, during which the nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus were abnormal, and the results were reviewed by the CDC as positive. Asymptomatic infected person 15, residing in Jiading District, was a close contact of a confirmed imported case from abroad reported by the city on November 12. The nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal during the isolation control period, and the result was reviewed by the CDC as positive. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of asymptomatic infected person.

Asymptomatic infected person 16, residing in Jing’an District, was found abnormal in routine nucleic acid testing of closed-loop management key personnel. The results were reviewed by the CDC and found to be positive. The epidemiologic history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests, and imaging findings were combined to diagnose an asymptomatic infected person.

On November 14, 2022, from 0-24 hours, 2 confirmed cases of overseas imported neocrown pneumonia were reported through the joint prevention and control mechanism at the port. Four cases were cured and discharged, including one case from Spain, one case from Austria, one case from the United Kingdom, and one case from the United States.

Case 1 was of Chinese nationality, working in the United States, departed from the United States and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 13, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which symptoms developed. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 2 was a Canadian national who was visiting relatives in Canada and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 13, 2022, via a connecting flight in Japan, and was placed under intensive quarantine for observation upon entry, during which she developed symptoms. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.

Two cases of overseas imported confirmed cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 46 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

From 0-24 hours on November 14, 2022, there were 19 new cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad.

Asymptomatic infected person 2 was of Malaysian nationality, living in Malaysia, departed from Malaysia, transited through Taiwan, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 8, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic infected person 3 is a Singaporean national, working in the United States, departed from the United States and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 9, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic infected patients4 were of Argentine nationality, living in Argentina, departed from Argentina, transited through Germany, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 10, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. Asymptomatic infected patients5 were of Chinese nationality, working in Singapore, departed from Singapore and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 11, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. Asymptomatic infected person 11 and asymptomatic infected person 12 are both of Chinese nationality. Asymptomatic infected person 11 studied in the UK and asymptomatic infected person 12 worked in the UK. Asymptomatic infected person 11 and asymptomatic infected person 12 departed from the UK, took the same flight and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 12, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 13 and asymptomatic infected person 14 are both of Chinese nationality, asymptomatic infected person 13 studied in France, departed from France and transferred through Austria, asymptomatic infected person 14 worked in Austria, departed from Austria, asymptomatic infected person 13 and asymptomatic infected person 14 took the same flight and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 12, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic infected patients15 were of Chinese nationality, working in Singapore, departed from Singapore and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 12, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic Infected Person 16 and Asymptomatic Infected Person 17 are both Chinese nationals, Asymptomatic Infected Person 16 works in the U.S., Asymptomatic Infected Person 17 visits relatives in the U.S., Asymptomatic Infected Person 18 is a U.S. national and lives in the U.S. Asymptomatic Infected Person 16 – Asymptomatic Infected Person 18 departed from the U.S. on the same flight and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

The asymptomatic infected person19 was of Chinese nationality, working in the United States, departed from the United States, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 13, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Nineteen cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for medical observation, and 490 close contacts of the same flight have been tracked, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

From 0-24 hours on November 14, 2022, 30 cases of asymptomatic infected persons were released from medical observation, including 5 cases of local asymptomatic infected persons and 25 cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons.
