Shanghai yesterday added 26 new confirmed cases of local new crown pneumonia and 209 new cases of local asymptomatic infections

The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission informed this morning (December 2) that from 0-24 hours on December 1, 2022, there were 26 new confirmed cases of local new crown pneumonia and 209 asymptomatic infections in Shanghai, of which 8 confirmed cases and 4 asymptomatic infections were found in social surface nucleic acid testing and 18 confirmed cases and 205 asymptomatic infections were found in isolation control. The new cases of NCCP were found in the isolation control. Four new cases of confirmed cases and 36 cases of asymptomatic infected persons with imported NCCP from abroad were added.

December 1, 2022 from 0-24 hours, 26 new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia were added. Nine cases were cured and discharged from the hospital.

Case 1, residing in Pudong New Area, Case 2, residing in Jing’an District, Case 3, residing in Yangpu District, Case 4, residing in Jiading District, and Case 5, residing in Songjiang District, were found to be abnormal in the standing nucleic acid test, which was reviewed by the municipal and district CDCs and the nucleic acid test results were positive. The case was diagnosed as a confirmed case after consultation with municipal experts and comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings. Case 6, residing in Changning District, Case 7, residing in Minhang District, and Case 8, residing in Songjiang District, visited the clinic due to discomfort, and abnormal results were found in the nucleic acid test, which was reviewed by the municipal and district CDCs and the nucleic acid test results were positive. Case 9, case 10, temporarily living in Pudong New Area, case 11, temporarily living in Xuhui District, case 12, temporarily living in Jing’an District, case 13, case 14, temporarily living in Jiading District, case 15, living in Pudong New Area, case 16, living in Xuhui District, all are people returning to Shanghai from other provinces, arrived in Shanghai and were implemented control, during which the nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus were abnormal, and the results were reviewed by the CDC as positive . On December 1, 2022 from 0-24 hours, there were 209 new cases of indigenous asymptomatic infections.

Case 1 was of Chinese nationality, working in Germany, departed from Germany, transferred via Hong Kong, and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 25, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which symptoms appeared. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 2 was a Chinese national working in the United Kingdom, departed from the United Kingdom, transferred via Finland, and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 28, 2022, and was placed under intensive quarantine observation upon arrival, during which she developed symptoms. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 3 was a Chinese national working in Finland who arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 29, 2022 from Finland and was placed under intensive isolation for observation upon arrival, during which he developed symptoms. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 4 was an American national living in the United States, departing from the United States and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 29, 2022, and was placed under intensive isolation for observation upon entry, during which she developed symptoms. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of a confirmed case.

Four cases of overseas imported confirmed cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 58 close contacts of the same flight have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

From 0-24 hours on December 1, 2022, there were 36 new cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad.

Asymptomatic infected person 1 is a Chinese national who works in Singapore, departed from Singapore and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 19, 2022, and was placed under centralized isolation and observation upon arrival. The nucleic acid test was abnormal after release from centralized isolation and observation, and the result was reviewed by the CDC as positive. Asymptomatic infected person 2 was a US national, living in the US, departed from the US and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 24, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected person 3 was of Chinese nationality, working in Austria, departed from Austria, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 26, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Asymptomatic infected patients4 were of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in Malaysia, departed from Malaysia and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 27, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. Asymptomatic infected patients5 were of Indonesian nationality, working in Hong Kong, departed from Hong Kong and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 27, 2022, and were placed under intensive quarantine observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. The asymptomatic infected person36 was of Chinese nationality, working in Australia, departed from Australia, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 30, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.

Thirty-six cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for medical observation, and 604 close contacts of the same flight have been tracked, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

From 0-24 hours on December 1, 2022, 97 cases of asymptomatic infected persons were released from medical observation, including 54 cases of local asymptomatic infected persons and 43 cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons.

From 0:00 July 3, 2022 to 24:00 December 1, 2022, a total of 391 cases were confirmed locally, 267 cases were cured and discharged, 148 cases were treated in hospital, and 0 cases died; there were 2797 asymptomatic infected cases. There are 0 suspected cases to be ranked.

As of 24:00 on December 1, 2022, there were 5687 confirmed imported cases from abroad, 5629 cases were discharged and 58 cases were under hospital treatment. There are 0 suspected cases to be investigated.
