Shanghai yesterday added 9 new local confirmed cases and 77 local asymptomatic infections

The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission informed this morning (November 25) that 9 new local confirmed cases of New Coronary Pneumonia and 77 asymptomatic infections were reported from 0-24 hours on November 24, 2022, of which 9 confirmed cases and 75 asymptomatic infections were found in isolation control. There were 9 new confirmed cases of imported Newcastle pneumonia and 61 asymptomatic infections from abroad.

Status of local cases

From 0-24 hours on November 24, 2022, there were 9 new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia. Two cases were cured and discharged from the hospital.

Case 1, temporarily residing in Pudong New Area.

Case 2, temporarily residing in Jiading district.

Case 3 and Case 4, temporarily residing in Songjiang District, and

Case 5, residing in Xuhui District

Case 6, residing in Minhang District

Case 7, living in Qingpu District.

All of them were returned to Shanghai from other provinces and were under control after arrival in Shanghai. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings, etc., diagnosed as confirmed cases.

Case 8, residing in Jiading District, was a close contact of a local asymptomatic infected person reported in this city on November 22. The nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal during the isolation control period, and the result was reviewed by the CDC as positive. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of a confirmed case.

Case 9, residing in Pudong New Area, was found abnormal in the routine nucleic acid test of the closed-loop management key personnel, and the result was reviewed by the CDC as positive. Combined epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings, etc., diagnosed as a confirmed case.

From 0-24 hours on November 24, 2022, 9 confirmed cases of overseas imported neocrown pneumonia were reported through the joint prevention and control mechanism at the port. One case was cured and discharged from New Zealand.

Case 1 was of Chinese nationality, traveling in Canada, departed from Canada and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 20, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which symptoms developed. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 2 was a resident of Taiwan, China, who traveled in Malaysia, departed from Malaysia, transferred via South Korea, and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 22, 2022, and was placed under intensive isolation and observation upon entry, during which she developed symptoms. A comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose a confirmed case.

Cases 3 and 4, both of Chinese nationality and working in France, departed from France on the same flight and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 22, 2022, and were placed under intensive isolation for observation upon arrival, during which they developed symptoms. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of a confirmed case.

Cases 5 and 6, both of Chinese nationality and working in Germany, departed from Germany on the same flight and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 22, 2022, and were placed under intensive isolation and observation upon arrival, during which they developed symptoms. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings led to the diagnosis of a confirmed case.

Cases 7 and 8 were Filipino crew members who arrived in Shanghai with the ship on November 22, 2022 and were placed under intensive isolation and observation upon arrival, during which they developed symptoms. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were integrated and diagnosed as confirmed cases.

Case 9, a Singaporean national working in Germany, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 23, 2022 from Germany and was placed under intensive isolation for observation upon arrival, during which she developed symptoms. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were used to diagnose the case as a confirmed case.

Nine cases of overseas imported confirmed cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and 123 close contacts have been traced, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

The situation of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons

From 0 to 24 November 2022, there were 61 new cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad.

Asymptomatic infected person 1 is a Chinese national who works in Singapore, departed from Singapore and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 12, 2022, and was placed under centralized isolation and observation upon entry. Asymptomatic infected person 3 was of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in Canada, departed from Canada and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 16, 2022, and was placed under intensive quarantine observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic infected patients4 were of Chinese nationality, working in Italy, departed from Italy, transferred via Germany, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on November 16, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. Sixty-one cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for medical observation, and 789 relevant close contacts have been tracked, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

On November 24, 2022, 0-24 hours, 24 cases of asymptomatic infected persons were released from medical observation, including 12 cases of local asymptomatic infected persons and 12 cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons.

From 0000 hours on July 3, 2022 to 2400 hours on November 24, 2022, a total of 273 cases were confirmed locally, 236 cases were cured and discharged, 61 cases were treated in hospital, and 0 cases died; 1755 cases of asymptomatic infections were reported. There are 0 suspected cases to be investigated.

As of 24:00 on November 24, 2022, there were 5647 cumulative overseas imported confirmed cases, 5600 cases discharged and 47 cases under hospital treatment. There is one suspected case to be investigated.
