The CDC releases information on new crown outbreaks under authorization, and the National Health Commission no longer releases daily
The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that information related to the New Crown Pneumonia outbreak will be released under authorization from December 25. Daily outbreak information will no longer be published on the CDC website.
On December 25, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released the “Note on the Release of Information on the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Outbreak on the CDC Website”. The information shows: According to the relevant provisions of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Law, the National Health and Health Commission and the National Bureau of Disease Control have authorized the CDC to release information on the website about confirmed, severe, critical and and and deaths due to novel coronavirus pneumonia cases and national novel coronavirus vaccination and other related information for public understanding and research use by relevant research institutions from now on.
Starting January 21, 2020, the National Health Commission will publish daily on its website the “latest situation” of the national NCCV epidemic, including the number of new confirmed cases, cured cases, confirmed cases imported from abroad, and asymptomatic infections reported by 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, as well as confirmed cases reported by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Starting December 14, 2022, the National Health Commission will no longer publish data on asymptomatic infections. The Commission issued a “note” stating that the current strategy of testing for nucleic acid in the new coronary pneumonia is to test as many as possible, and many asymptomatic infected persons no longer participate in nucleic acid testing, making it impossible to accurately grasp the actual number of asymptomatic infected persons.
On December 25, instead of releasing information on the epidemic, the National Health Commission issued a “note” on its website: from now on, it will no longer release daily information on the epidemic, and the CDC will release relevant information on the epidemic for reference and research purposes.
