U.S. White House: Biden to receive bivalent new crown vaccine this week

Oct. 24 (Xinhua) — U.S. President Joe Biden will receive the bivalent New Crown vaccine this Tuesday and urged more U.S. people to get vaccinated, White House spokesman Kevin Munoz said on Oct. 23 local time.
As of last week, only 20 million people in the United States had received the latest bivalent New Crown vaccine. The White House said this is “far from enough”. The U.S. began rolling out the bivalent New Crown vaccine in September, targeting the original virus as well as the latest Omicron subtype variants BA.4 and BA.5.
Biden had tested positive for the new coronavirus in July, with mild symptoms, and returned to work in August after two negative tests that ended more than two weeks of quarantine.
