After making an appointment on the Wuhan CDC WeChat public website, you can pick up the paper report at the information desk of Wuhan CDC Preventive Medicine Service Center after 8:30 the next day (the electronic version of the report will be available for download), which will provide you with a scientific assessment of the immunity status and resistance to secondary infection.

Tips

The sampling hours are 9:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17:00 daily.

Nucleic acid test for New Coronavirus in English and Chinese

What is the new coronavirus antibody

New coronavirus antibodies, is the infection of new coronavirus self-generated immune response landmark substances, its more types, including IgM antibodies and IgG antibodies.

Generally, IgM antibodies, which are the hallmark antibodies of the immune response, are gradually produced in the serum about 5 days after infection with the new coronavirus, and the maintenance time of these antibodies is generally short, about 2 to 3 weeks, with rapid decay. The IgG antibodies, which are the hallmark of the immune response, generally appear after the IgM antibodies and reach their peak level when the IgM antibodies are close to disappearing and can be maintained in the blood for a longer period of time. When the body is re-infected with the same virus, its IgG antibody level can increase rapidly in a short period of time, thus playing a role in immunity. Therefore, an increase in IgM antibodies can indicate a recent or acute infection, and an increase in IgG antibodies can indicate a previous infection or a recovery period from an infection.

Significance and Interpretation of New Coronavirus Antibody Test Results

The neointestinal virus antibody test can be used as an aid in the diagnosis of neointestinal virus infection, and its results can also be used as a basis for the recommendation of neointestinal virus vaccination schedule and vaccination protocol.

If the test is positive for neo-coronavirus IgM antibodies and there are clinical symptoms associated with the test, it can be used as an adjunctive diagnosis of neo-coronavirus infection.

If the IgG antibody is positive and the IgM antibody is negative, this may indicate that the patient has had a previous infection with a new coronavirus and has largely recovered, or that the patient has been vaccinated against the new coronavirus. Therefore, the results of the neo-coronavirus antibody test can also be used as a basis for the recommendation of the timing of neo-coronavirus vaccination and the vaccination regimen.

If the test is positive for both IgM and IgG antibodies to the new coronavirus, it is likely that the subject is being infected with the new coronavirus and further investigation is needed. It is also possible that if the subject has received the neo-coronavirus vaccine around two weeks ago, this may also result in positive IgG and IgM antibodies.
