High demand for consultation, “New crown clinic” opened in many places

The second affiliated hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University officially opened the “New Crown Clinic” on January 2. On January 1, the New Crown Clinic of Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital also opened, and in order to run more efficiently, the hospital combined the fever clinic and the New Crown Clinic. According to the reporter, the demand for patient visits was particularly high, and 200 numbers were released on the first day of the clinic, which were instantly snapped up.

In addition, according to the Shanxi Taiyuan Health Commission on January 2, in order to help and guide the recovery period of the new coronavirus infection of the self health management, Taiyuan City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Sunshine Fenhe Bay Branch (treatment center) opened a “new coronavirus infection recovery clinic”, after the infection of patients with cough, weakness, insomnia, pain and other problems to provide guidance and treatment.

On the same day, the first rehabilitation clinic for Neovirus infection and the Chinese medicine clinic for Neovirus infection in Baoding, Hebei Province, was opened at the Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University, mainly taking advantage of Chinese medicine to treat the symptoms of “Yang Kang” of Neovirus.

From January 3, the Second People’s Hospital of Hunan Province opened the “New Coronavirus Comprehensive Clinic”, “New Coronavirus Chinese Medicine Clinic” and “New Coronavirus Rehabilitation Clinic”, respectively, with senior doctors who have rich experience in comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. The clinic is staffed by senior doctors with extensive experience in the comprehensive treatment of all kinds of problems caused by the New Coronavirus infection.

“New Coronavirus Clinic” is intended to divert patients from the fever clinic and emergency room.

Zhang Yonghong, an attending physician in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, said that most of the patients seen were young people with cough symptoms. “The New Crown Clinic mainly serves as a diversion to relieve the pressure on the fever clinic and the emergency room. “If patients have emergencies at night, they can still go to the fever clinic and the emergency room.”

Zhang Yonghong introduced that the outpatient doctors of the New Crown Clinic are composed of doctors from the clinical departments of respiratory medicine, general medicine and infection. It was established to be able to admit and treat critically ill patients more quickly for inpatient treatment and to solve the problem of bed shortage. “Previously, as a respiratory physician I could only admit patients to the respiratory department, and with the increasing number of infected patients at New Crown, there were far fewer beds in the respiratory department. Now that I am out in the New Crown clinic, I have the right to admit patients to the various departments that have available beds.”
