Zhejiang October 17 new local “8 + 27”

Zhejiang Health Commission informed that on October 17 from 0-24 hours, 11 cities reported 34 new local positive cases, of which 18 cases were detected in centralized isolation sites, 5 cases were detected in home isolation, and 11 cases were screened in the community, all of which have implemented control measures.
Eleven cities reported 8 new confirmed cases. Among them, there were no imported cases; 8 local cases (7 cases in Ningbo, 1 case in Taizhou), of which 1 case was previously asymptomatic infected person turned into confirmed (Taizhou), and 7 new confirmed cases were detected on that day.
Two new cases were cured and discharged on the same day, and there were 85 confirmed cases.
Eleven cities reported 45 new cases of asymptomatic infections. Among them, 18 cases were imported from abroad (4 cases from Portugal, 3 cases from Hong Kong, 2 cases from Spain, 2 cases from Vietnam, 1 case from the United States, 1 case from Canada, 1 case from Singapore, 1 case from Cameroon, 1 case from Uganda, 1 case from Jordan, 1 case from Gabon); 27 cases were imported locally (25 cases from Ningbo, 1 case from Taizhou, 1 case from Jiaxing).
There were 24 cases of asymptomatic infected persons who were released from medical observation on that day, and 213 cases of asymptomatic infected persons who were still under medical observation.
As of 24:00 on October 17, the province reported a total of 3516 confirmed cases. Among them, 693 cases were imported from abroad and 2823 cases were local cases.
