Up to now, there are 9 vaccination points in Jinshui District, Zhengzhou City, including Nanyang Xincun Community Health Service Center, Zhengzhou Ninth People’s Hospital, Fengcheng Road Street Office Community Health Service Center, Fengcheng Road Linke Community Health Service Center, Huanghe Central Hospital, Antai Community Health Service Center, Fenghuangtai Street Office Community Health Service Center, Henan Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yangjin Road Street Office Community Health Service Center, etc. The “fourth vaccination” can be given at 9 vaccination points. People can go to the vaccination with their ID cards at the corresponding time. It is reported that other districts in Zhengzhou will also start the “fourth vaccination” in succession.

Previously, Li Feng, director of the Immunization Planning Institute at the Zhengzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said in a media interview that, according to the progress of vaccine development, all vaccines approved for marketing or emergency use can be used for the second dose of booster immunization. Priority will be given to sequential booster immunizations or second-dose booster immunizations with vaccines containing or having good cross-immunity to Omicron strains, with the relevant combinations as follows.

In this regard, Li Feng said that according to the requirements of the “Implementation Plan for the Second Dose of New Coronavirus Vaccine Booster Immunization” issued by the National Health and Welfare Commission, at this stage, the second dose of booster immunization can be carried out among people at high risk of infection, elderly people over 60 years old, people with more serious underlying diseases and people with low immunity on the basis of the first dose of booster immunization.

According to domestic and foreign research and clinical trial data, combined with the actual vaccination in China, the second dose of booster immunization and the first dose of booster immunization time interval for more than 6 months.

According to Feng Li, the vaccine can be given even after “Yang”, and it is recommended to give the vaccination after six months of recovery. It is very necessary for the elderly to receive the “fourth vaccination”. Due to the relatively weak immune function of the elderly, the level of antibodies and the protection effect after the completion of vaccination for people over 60 years old is relatively lower than that of people between 18 and 59 years old. Once infected, the rate of serious illness is relatively high, so it is recommended that elderly people receive a booster vaccination as soon as possible to obtain better protection.
