10 new confirmed indigenous cases and 7 indigenous asymptomatic infections in Guangzhou on Oct. 3

From 00:00 to 24:00 on October 3, 10 new local confirmed cases were found in Guangzhou, 9 of which were found during the screening of people under isolation and 1 during the screening of key people under health management. There were 7 new cases of local asymptomatic infections, 6 of which were found during the screening of people under isolation and 1 case was found during the screening of foreign coordinators. There were 5 new cases of confirmed cases imported from abroad, 6 cases of asymptomatic infected persons imported from abroad, and 3 cases of previously announced cases of asymptomatic infected persons imported from abroad to confirmed cases.

As of 24:00 on October 3, the city reported a total of 7,254 cases of new positive pneumonia infections. Among them, there were 3635 confirmed cases (2555 imported from abroad and 1080 local cases), 118 cases were still under hospital treatment; 3619 asymptomatic cases (3340 imported from abroad and 279 local cases), 64 cases were still under medical observation.

The 10 new local confirmed cases and 7 local asymptomatic cases are as follows

Local confirmed case 1: male, 32 years old.

Local confirmed case 2: male, 27 years old.

Native confirmed case 3: male, 24 years old.

Local confirmed case 4: male, 20 years old.

Native confirmed case 5: male, 30 years old.

Native confirmed case 6: male, 40 years old.

Local confirmed case 7: Male, 36 years old.

The above cases 1-7 are personnel of the same shipyard in Guangzhou who announced the cases yesterday, all of them were found during the screening of personnel included in the isolation observation.

Local confirmed case 8: female, 25 years old.

Local confirmed case 9: male, 15 years old.

The above-mentioned cases 8 and 9 came to Guangzhou from other provinces on September 30, and were the close contact of the same flight case, and were found in the screening of personnel for isolation observation.

Local confirmed case 10: female, 45 years old. Lives in Longcu Street, Nansha District, and was found during the screening of key populations included in health management.

Native asymptomatic infected person 1: Male, 43 years old.

Native asymptomatic infected person 2: male, 49 years old.

Native asymptomatic infected person 3: male, 33 years old.

Native asymptomatic infected person 4: male, 18 years old.

Native asymptomatic infected person 5: male, 33 years old.

The above asymptomatic infected persons 1-5 are the personnel of the same shipyard in Guangzhou who announced the case yesterday, all of them were found in the screening of personnel included in the isolation observation.

Local asymptomatic infected person 6: male, 4 years old, came to Guangzhou with his family from other provinces on September 30, and was a close associate of the same flight.

Local asymptomatic infected person 7: female, 52 years old. came to Guangzhou from a foreign city in the early morning of October 3 by online taxi to take the flight, and then received notification from the foreign city that she was positive for nucleic acid and was stopped before entering the airport, and the result of the review was positive.

The 17 infected persons mentioned above have been transferred to the City Eight Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University in closed loop for isolation and treatment. Relevant close contacts and places involved in the disease have been controlled.

Five new cases of confirmed cases and six cases of asymptomatic infected persons imported from abroad.

Five new confirmed cases were imported from abroad, one each from Uganda, Thailand and Singapore, and two from Saudi Arabia; six cases of asymptomatic infections were imported from abroad, one each from Congo (Gold), Japan, Uganda, Singapore, Cambodia and Australia.

The above confirmed cases and asymptomatic infected persons were transferred to the centralized isolation site according to the whole closed-loop management procedure after entry. During the isolation period, they were tested positive for nucleic acid of the new coronavirus and were transferred to Guangzhou Medical University’s Hospital No. 8 for isolation treatment.
