11 new cases of indigenous asymptomatic infections in Shanghai yesterday

On October 27, 2022 from 00-24 hours, there were no new confirmed cases of indigenous New Crown pneumonia and 11 new indigenous asymptomatic infections, of which 10 asymptomatic infections were found in isolation control. Four new confirmed cases of imported extranational New Coronary Pneumonia and 18 new asymptomatic infections were detected in closed-loop control.

Status of local cases

There were no new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia from 0-24 hours on October 27, 2022. One case was cured and discharged from the hospital.

Status of native asymptomatic infected persons

There were 11 new cases of indigenous asymptomatic infections from 0-24 hours on October 27, 2022.

Asymptomatic infected person 1, residing in Yangpu District, was found abnormal in the standing nucleic acid test, which was reviewed by the city and district CDC and the nucleic acid test result was positive. Asymptomatic infected person 2 – Asymptomatic infected person 5, residing in Pudong New Area, asymptomatic infected person 6, residing in Jing’an District, asymptomatic infected person 7, asymptomatic infected person 8, residing in Putuo District, asymptomatic infected person 9, residing in Yangpu District, asymptomatic infected person 10, residing in Minhang District, are all close contacts of local infected persons previously reported by the city who came to Shanghai from other provinces and returned to Shanghai All of them were close contacts of local infected persons from other provinces previously reported in Shanghai. Case 3 was a Chinese national, visiting relatives in the United States, departed from the United States and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 23, 2022, and was placed under intensive quarantine observation upon entry, during which she developed symptoms. The epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were combined to diagnose a confirmed case.

Case 4 was a Chinese national, visiting relatives in Canada, departing from Canada and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 26, 2022, and was placed under intensive isolation for observation upon entry, during which she developed symptoms. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as confirmed cases.

Four cases of overseas imported confirmed cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and close contacts of the same flight have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.
